 INTRODUCTION

Every year, many lives are lost because of infectious diseases!!!

Hospital acquired infections, are very frightening as they are neither present
nor incubating unless patient catches the infection during his/her stay in the
hospital as a consequence of health care activities (Nosocomial infection).

To make hospital a safe place, we must implement policies in order to control

& prevent infections.

Role of Infection Control and prevention is well recognized in preventing

spread of infections & decreasing device associated infections etc.

For any surgical procedure, Post-operative wound infection is very

frightening outcome. Supply of sterilized equipment is the basic requirement
of a surgery, a central department CSSD which can provide sterilized supply,
takes care of equipment, soiled with contaminated blood and tissues, and is
very important for any institute.

The awareness of these special services is very important for any health care
worker

Theme of this activity is Patient Safety Begins with you

Rehman Medical Institute, in this regard, has organized a workshop with an

objective of increasing basic awareness, allowing interactions with experts
