BANDUNG BONDOWOSO AND RORO JONGGRANG

(The Legend of Prambanan Temple)

has a magic weapon called Bandung, so Bondowoso is known as Bandung Bondowoso. Besides
having a powerful weapon, Bandung Bondowoso also has a Jin army. The army used Bandung
Bondowoso to help him to attack other kingdoms and fulfill all his wishes.
Until Once, Raja Pengging who arrogantly called Bandung Bondowoso. King Pengging then
ordered Bandung Bondowoso to attack the Kingdom of Prambanan. The next day Bandung
Bondowoso summoned his Jin in form of assembly, and immediately went to the Kingdom of
Prambanan.

Arriving at Prambanan, they immediately burst into the palace of Prambanan. King Baka and his
army are foggy, because they lack preparation. Finally Bandung Bondowoso succeeded in
occupying the Prambanan Kingdom, and King Baka was killed by exposed weapons Bandung
Bondowoso.

The victory of Bandung Bondowoso and his troops was greeted happily by Raja Pengging. Then
King Pengging also mandated Bandung Bondowoso to occupy Prambanan Palace and take care
of all its contents, including the family of King Baka.

At the time of Bandung Bondowoso lived in the Royal Palace of Prambanan, he saw a very
beautiful woman. The woman is Roro Jonggrang, the daughter of Prabu Baka. When I saw Roro
Jonggrang, Bandung Bondowoso began to fall in love. Without thinking again, Bandung
Bondowoso directly call and apply Roro Jonggrang.

temple and wells very quickly.

Roro Jonggrang who witnessed the construction of the temple began anxious and frightened,

completed.

Roro Jonggrang then think hard, find a way for Bandung Bondowoso can not meet the
requirements.

After thinking hard, Roro Jonggrang finally found a way out. He will make the atmosphere to be
like morning, so the Jinn stop the making of the temple.

Roro Jonggrang immediately summoned all the ladies in the palace. The ladies were given the
task of Roro Jonggrang to burn the straw, to sound the mortar, and sprinkled flowers that smelled
fragrant.
Hearing orders from Roro Jonggrang, the ladies soon burn the hay. Soon the sky was reddish,

began to crow.

Bondowoso army began to leave his job. They thought it was early morning, and they had to
leave.

Come back to finish building this temple !!! "

felt very upset, and finally completed the construction of the remaining temples. But
unfortunately, not yet completed the construction of the temple, the morning has come. Bandung
Bondowoso also failed to meet the requirements of Roro Jonggrang.

Knowing the failure of Bandung Bondowoso, Roro Jonggrang then approached Bandung
Bondowoso. "You failed to qualify me, Bandung Bondowoso", said Roro Jonggrang.

Hearing the word Roro Jonggrang, Bandung Bondowoso very angry. In a very loud tone,
Bandung Bondowoso said: "You cheated Roro Jonggrang. Actually you are the one who thwart
the construction of a thousand temples. Therefore, I cursed you to be a statue that is in the temple
of the thousandth! "

Thanks to the power of Bandung Bondowoso, Roro Jonggrang turned into a statue / statue. The
shape of the statue until now can be seen in the temple complex of Prambanan, and the name of
the temple is known by the name of Roro Jonggrang temple. While the temples in the vicinity
called the Temple Sewu or Candi Seribu.
