U2000 Northbound Interface Series

Overview
U2000 northbound interfaces
||
Are communication channels between the U2000 and the
third-party system and provide the functions required by
the third-party system (such as NMS).

01 Functions of Northbound Interfaces?

Alarm Function

Forward E and U2000 alarms.

export function.

File Interface (NE-based Export)

Application Scenario Feature

√ It is recommended that you use this ※ Exports measurement results of an NE in

interface for exporting performance data.
※ Complies with the XML file format
specified in the 3GPP protocols.
※ Report NE measurement results without
preprocessing.
※ Supports both counter IDs and counter
names for identifying measurement
counters.
※ Provides a short delay for file export.
※ Does not affect the database.
※ Provides the export function
independent of differences between NEs
and between NE versions.

Configuration Function
Generate configuration data of base
stations into files and provide the
Northbound
files for the NMS.

export function.

File Interface (for Configuration Data Export)

Application Scenario Feature

√ Scenarios where only configuration data. ※ Supports periodically exporting configuration

needs to be queried data of the entire network.
√ Scenarios where configuration data of ※ Supports XML and CSV file formats.
core network devices needs to be exported ※ Supports exporting files in the tree export or
flat export mode. For the NEs support flat
export mode, the flat export mode is recommended.
※ Supports radio access network devices and
core network devices.
※ Provides a simple and stable interface.
※ Exports complete data.

Inventory data includes two types:

Logical inventory data consists of cell data and NE versions.
Physical inventory data consists of information about racks, subracks,
slots, boards, antennas, and ports.
