ACUPRESSURE POINTS

Working on these points can help you


get better quicker. You do not have to
use all of these points. Using just one
or two of them whenever you have a
free hand can be effective.

Points (A) -- Heavenly Pillar


Location: One finger width below the
base of the skull on the ropy muscles
one-half inch outward from the spine.
Benefits: Relieves stress, over
exhaustion, insomnia, heaviness in the
head, eyestrain, stiff necks, swollen
eyes, and sore throats.

Points (B) -- Heavenly


Rejuvenation
Location: On the shoulders, midway
between the base of the neck and the
outside of the shoulders, one-half inch
below the top of the shoulders.
Benefits: Relieves nervous tension
and stiff necks; increases resistance to
colds and flu. It is also good for the
lungs.

Points (C) -- Crooked Marsh-- on


both side of arm
Location: On the inside of the arm at
the lower end of the elbow crease
when the arm is bent.
Benefits: Relieves nervous stomach,
anxiety, arm pain, elbow pain, and
chest discomfort.

Points (D) -- Inner Gate-- on both


side of arm
Location: In the middle of the inner
side of the forearm two and one-half
finger widths from the wrist crease.
Benefits: Relieves nausea, anxiety,
palpitations, and wrist pain.

Points (E) -- Spirit Gate-- on both


side of arm
Location: On the little finger side of
the forearm at the crease of the wrist.
Benefits: Relieves emotional
imbalances, fear, nervousness,
anxiety, and forgetfulness.
Points (F) -- Third Eye Point
Location: Directly between the
eyebrows, in the indentation where
the bridge of the nose meets the
forehead.
Benefits: Calms the body to relieve
nervousness.

Points (G) -- Sea of Tranquility


Location: On the center of the
breastbone, three thumb widths up
from the base of the bone.
Benefits: Relieves nervousness,
anxiety, chest tension, anguish,
depression, hysteria, and other
emotional imbalances.

Points (H) -- Crooked Pond


Location: On the upper edge of the elbow crease.
Benefits: Relieves arthritic pain, especially in the
elbow and shoulder.

Points (I) -- Outer Gate


Location: Two and one-half finger widths above the
wrist crease on the outer forearm midway between
H the two bones of the arm.
Benefits: Relieves rheumatism, tendonitis, wrist
I pain, and shoulder pain.

J Points (J) -- Joining the Valley


Caution: This point is forbidden for pregnant
women until labor because its stimulation can
cause premature contractions in the uterus.
Location: In the webbing between the thumb and
K index finger at the highest spot of the muscle when
the thumb and index finger are brought close
together.
Benefits: Relieves pain and inflammation in the
hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, and neck.

Points (K) -- Three Mile Point


Location: Four finger widths below the kneecap,
one finger width to the outside of the leg.
Benefits: Strengthens the body, benefits the
joints, and relieves the fatigue that often results
from the drain of dealing with arthritic pain.

Points (L) -- Gates of Consciousness


Location: Below the base of the skull, in the hollow
between the two large, vertical neck muscles, two
L L to three inches apart depending on the size of the
head.
Benefits: Relieves arthritis, as well as the
following common complaints that often
accompany arthritic pain: headaches, insomnia,
stiff neck, neck pain, fatigue, and general
irritability.
Points (M) -- Sea of Energy
Location: Two finger widths directly below
the belly button.
Benefits: Relieves lower-back weakness,
M tones weak abdominal muscles, and
prevents a variety of lower-back problems.

Points (N) & Points (O) -- Sea of


Vitality
Caution: If you have a weak back, the Sea
of Vitality points may be quite tender. In
this case a few minutes of light, stationary
touch instead of deep pressure can be very
healing.
Location: In the lower back (between the
second and third lumbar vertebrae) two to
four finger widths away from the spine at
waist level.
Benefits: Relieves lower-back aches,
sciatica, and the fatigue that often results
from the pain.

Points (P) -- Womb and Vitals
Location: One to two finger widths outside
the sacrum (the large bony area at the base
O of the spine) and midway between the top
O of the hipbone and the base of the buttock.
P Benefits: Relieves lower-back aches,
P sciatica, pelvic tension, hip pain, and
tension.

Points (Q) -- Commanding Middle


Location: In the center of the back of the
Q knee crease.
Q Benefits: Relieves back pain; sciatica;
knee pain; back stiffness; and arthritis in
the knees, back, and hips.
Points (A) -- Third Eye Point
Location: Directly between the eyebrows, in
the indentation where the bridge of the nose
joins the forehead.
Benefits: Aids chronic fatigue syndrome
complaints, especially irritability, confusion,
and headaches.
Points (B) -- Letting Go
Location: On the outer part of the chest, four
finger widths up from the armpit crease and
one finger width inward.
Benefits: Relieves difficult breathing,
fatigue, confusion, chest tension and
congestion, emotional repression, coughing,
and asthma.

Points (C) -- Sea of Energy


Location: Three finger widths below the belly
button.
Benefits: Relieves general weakness,
extreme fatigue, dizziness, and confusion
that results from the chronic fatigue
syndrome.

Points (D) -- Three Mile Point


Location: Four finger widths below the
kneecap, one finger width on the outside of
the shinbone. If you are on the correct spot,
a muscle should flex as you move your foot
up and down.
Benefits: Relieves fatigue, dizziness, and
general weakness, as well as strengthens
and tones the muscles throughout the body.

Points (E) -- Bigger Rushing


Location: On the top of the foot, in the valley
between the big toe and the second toe.
Benefits: Relieves fainting, dizziness,
fatigue, confusion, headaches, nausea, and
irritability.

Points (F) -- Gates of Consciousness


Location: Just below the base of the skull, in
the hollow between the two large neck
muscles, two to three inches apart
depending on the size of the head.
Benefits: Relieves headaches, arthritis,
insomnia, dizziness, stiff neck, neck pain,
injuries, trauma, shock, hypertension,
neuromotor coordination, eyestrain, and
irritability.

Points (G) -- Shoulder Well


Caution: Pregnant women should press this
point lightly.
Location: On the highest point of the
shoulder muscle, one to two inches from the
side of the lower neck.
Benefits: Anxiety, irritability, fatigue,
shoulder tension, poor circulation, cold
hands or feet, nervous problems, and
headaches.

Points (H) & Points (I) -- Sea of Vitality


Caution: Do not press on disintegrating discs
or on fractured or broken bones. If you have
a weak back, a few minutes of stationary,
light touch instead of deep pressure can be
very healing. See your doctor first if you
have any questions or need medical advice.
Location: In the lower back two (Points H)
and four (Points I) finger widths away from
the spine at waist level.
Benefits: Relieves many chronic fatigue
syndrome symptoms such as muscle
weakness, extreme fatigue, irritability,
dizziness, and confusion.

Points (J) -- Outer Gate


Location: Two and one-half finger widths
above the outer wrist crease, between the
two forearm bones.
Benefits: Relieves rheumatism, wrist pain,
and shoulder pain and increases resistance
to colds and flu.

Points (K) -- Inner Gate-- on both side


of arms
Location: Two and one-half finger widths up
the arm from the center of the inner wrist
crease, midway between the two forearm
bones.
Benefits: Relieves indigestion, nausea,
insomnia, nervousness, palpitations, and
wrist pain.
