So hello and welcome to my hopefully not boring documentary and here we are for
one reason to learn about the film production and mostly history of it so to kick things
off what are the main stages of film production so here they are as i said not boring
but this bit might be a little boring :(

The first one is Development, so a start of a project like this documentary usually
starts with a script development or usually a development will start with a writer or/
and a director pitching an idea to a producer.
This way a brainstorm of ideas are brought in and they are broken into different
pieces.

The next one is pre production which is what i had to do with this documentary so i
had to do different documentations of prop lists different crew members and that way
i can be organised with what i need to use for my production.
So pre production in professional wording is
A phase where you would narrow down all the options for your production. It is
where all the planning takes place before the camera is set to go and before the set
is ready hence the idea of pre production documents

So the third point on the list is production so during the production phase to keep
ahead of the shoot and with that the primary objective is to stick to the schedule and
the budget and of course the communication is key to success.

To the 4th point is the wrap up this is the period where the crew actors and any other
members of the production crew dismantle the gear and return is in good condition.

The fifth point is the post-production this is where all the editing and sound mixing
comes into play so this is what i will be doing with this documentary i will be taking
audio from the microphone as that's one of the key points we have to do do
professional sound mixing so the post-production consists of reviewing the footage
and assembling the movie or in this case the documentary.

Anyways soooooo the beginning of film production in the 17th century, a man by the
name of Athanasius Kircher of Rome, Italy this bloke

So this invention projected images from transparencies. This utilized a light source
something like a candle.
So throughout the 1800’s, several inventions were made that gave the illusion of

So if we all think about this for 1800’s all 3 of these are very cool inventions right?
Well obviously not the most entertaining as they are they're easy to get bored of but
if we think about it for the time and the place they did a really good job to begin what
is film production so moving on down the line is wasn't until 1895 the the first public
viewing of a film occured….. In december 1895 the Lumiére brothers developed the
first cinema and showing of a film called ‘The Arrival of the Train at La Ciotat’ which
happened at the indian salon located in Paris, France. Also this was the first public
demonstration used a projector called the cinematographe.

Georges Méliès invented the first even fiction films although these films weren’t any
film production programmes….. Not long after Holywood was becoming famous for
films

So moving onto sound (bring the mic closer) all the way to october 6th, 1927 films
did not have sound so imagine you guys seeing a film and not being able to hear it
you’d obviously get bored because you guys are used to watching movies with
sound like music, gunshots and other special effects.

So and finally moving onto the final part of this documentary is the animation, so for
example as a child you guys enjoyed cartoons right? And now you maybe interested
in Film Production Programmes that specialize in animation and i'll tell you
something animation didn't arrive until around the times of Great Depression….. And
in fact Mickey Mouse make his debut until 1928…. Shocker right? Well anyways
