do not wear African Attire are asked to wear Red in recognition of Heart Awareness Month.

A SUGGESTION BOX has been placed at the entrance of the church if anyone has a suggestion for
the Little Flower Church Parish Council to consider. Please include your name so we can ask for any

THE DIOCESAN STEWARDSHIP APPEAL will begin next weekend. So we can take time this week
to seek to educate ourselves about the programs and ministries our Appeal provides. Your Annual
Appeal funds programs such as care for our diocesan retired priests, formation of our diocesan
seminarians, and outreach to our youth and young adults. The needy are served through Appeal
support of agencies like St. Vincent de Paul throughout our diocese, Hispanic ministries, campus
ministry and our award-winning diocesan news magazine, The Catholic Connection. These are just
part of Appeal supported programs. Be prepared next week to commit to “Continuing the Mission,” by
offering our pledge in support of the 2019 Annual Appeal.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR CATHOLIC STUDENTS is available. Application packets for tuition
assistance from the Daughters of the Cross Educational Fund and the Bishop’s Tuition Assistance
Fund are now available for the 2019-2020 school year. Partial tuition assistance is available on a
needs-basis for Catholic students in the Diocese of Shreveport. Parents may contact any Catholic
