INTRODUCTION
Tuberculosis is the second most common
cause of the death due to disease at the
global level. Tuberculosis remains the single
largest infectious disease carrying high
deaths annually about 5 deaths every minute.
Childhood TB is an important indications of
public health success in interrupting and
preventing TB transmission. Infection can be
reduced with improvement of environmental
hygiene, medicine, high nutritious diet and
health education.

DEFINITION: - Tuberculosis (TB) is a


potentially fatal contagious disease that can
affect almost any part of the body but is
mainly an infection of the lungs. It is caused
by a bacterial microorganism, the tubercle
bacillus or Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
