Medical Training Initiative

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) Medical Training Initiative enables medical
graduates from all over the world to train in the UK for up to 24 months.

How the Initiative works Eligibility criteria


 The RCP assesses applicants at face-to-face panel  Hold a postgraduate medical qualification

Posts are routinely available in specialty training in acute medicine, general internal medicine, geriatric medicine
(elderly care), respiratory medicine, and in core medical training. Applications for other specialties are welcome,
though posts may not be available immediately.

Please note that candidates in a Pakistani postgraduate training program are responsible for abiding by the rules
of their ongoing training. The MTI is only suitable for doctors whose subsequent work in the UK would be counted
towards their ongoing training by their respective institute OR those who have completed training but can delay
taking examination until their return.

Your application will only be considered for shortlisting if you meet the eligibility criteria above. In particular note
the requirement to have a pass in an English language test.
