Mission – Action – Planning
Our monthly mission prayer meeting, this time with a focus on overseas work, takes place
on Monday 01 November at 12 noon in the lower lounge. Sandwiches etc will kindly be
provided by Dorothy. Do join us for the hour if you can.

Visit of Jonathon Berry, Director TFT
True freedom Trust (TfT) is a confidential Christian support and
teaching ministry for men and women who accept the Bible's
prohibition of same-sex practice and yet are aware of same-sex
attractions, or struggle with other sexual and relational issues. We also
offer support to families, friends and church leaders of those who face these issues in their
lives. Jonathon will be speaking at St Cuthbert’s on Sunday 07 November at 10.30am.
Remembrance Sunday
o As per recent years we will be joining many other members of
our local community at the Cheadle Green Cenotaph for the act of
remembrance at 11am. There will be a shortened all age service at
St Cuthbert’s at 09.30am preceding, though we understand that a
number will go direct to the Green.
o In the evening we hold our Remembering Loved Ones service.
We have invited by post those we have helped with funeral ministry
over the last three years. There are spare invites in the foyer.
Visit to Salford Elim Church
On Wednesday 10 November the
Church Committee is visiting Salford
Elim Church to find out how they do
ministry and think and pray about God’s vision for the church here at St Cuthbert’s. Even if
you are not on the Church Committee, it may be helpful for you to attend. Please speak to
one of the Wardens or Mike if you are interested.
Festive Wine Tasting 27 November 7.45pm
The speaker is Becky Silver talking on “The best is yet to come” and the wine tasting is led
by Jude Mullins International Director of The Wine & Spirit Education Trust who will help
us discover which wines go best with which types of food. The cost is £10 for a single
ticket and £16 for two tickets for those who are able to invite a friend. These are available
from the Wardens after the service.
Shoebox Appeal 2010— Operation Christmas Child
Your shoebox could be the first Christmas present a child receives in their lives. Leaflets are
now available at the back of church. Please do take a few minutes to read it carefully as
items which can be included change from year to year. Please bring your filled shoeboxes
back to church by Sunday 7th November. For more details please speak to Liz
