Personal Statement

I am writing this essay to show my interest in proceeding my

postgraduate study at South Wales University in MSc psychology. Make more precise like in the MSc : Commented [H1]
Psychology programme

Overview:

A core belief I have is that psychology helps in developing a whole

human being and,thus, in changing the world, one human at a time. I
would definitely use the researches, I am about to study or conduct, in
terms of introducing different and effective ways of critical thinking to
my country, whether it is through complicated reading and structured
texts or through modelling the thought process around these texts. I
think the amount of experience and skills I am going to acquire is
infinite. I am an experienced English teacher with solid background in
education. I have BA in education, English department from Alexandria
University in 2008, and I have been in the field of teaching English since
that time. I have been teaching English as a second language in
renowned institutions in Egypt and Saudi Arabia for around 10 years.
Teaching a wide range of ages in different situations and places has
helped me sharpen my skills and techniques.

Currently, I am working as a CELTA certified ESL instructor at Laureate

Vocational Saudi Arabia.

Home Life:

I was born in Alexandria, Egypt where the wonderful weather is and

great opportunities for learning different languages are. My city is so rich
in cultures; there are international cultural centers such as the British
Council as well as Bibliotheca Alexandrina. My favourite hobbies are
reading, watching TED Talks and travelling. I think the occasion I best felt
I was a positive example was when I participated in Resala for
Charity Work in Alexandria, Egypt. We had a chance to help people who
cannot afford to have private tuition improve their English language
skills. We also helped people coming from Syria who needed to take Syrian refugees would be more precise : Commented [H2]

Education Level:

I earned my BA in English teaching and literature in 2008. I studied

many courses in education including developmental psychology,
educational psychology and methodology. My learning never stopped at
that stage. I started my career as an ESL teacher and worked at the same
time at gaining more training and globally recognized certificates. I got
my CELTA in 2017, and worked at the British Council Alexandria in which
we had training related to child psychology and adults as well.

Work Environment:

Currently, I am working for one of the prestigious colleges around the

world, Laureate Vocational, which operates 30 universities around the
world. My main role is to assist low beginner English language learners in
reaching an intermediate level through teaching them all the four main
skills respectively in a communicative method. I work in a multicultural
environment with native speakers where English is the only language
used as written and oral means of communication. a great chance to

I sincerely hope I am given this opportunity to learn in South Wales

University and then transfer my knowledge to my community back home
