During our interview with Dr. Vinay Kr. Upadhay , I AMIT DATTA
BANIK and my partner HIMANSHU BHATNAGAR ask the following
questions…

Question-Please give brief idea of your organization?

Answer: - Today the world is witnessing an onslaught of various health problems like
diabetes, heart diseases, kidney diseases and other diseases. Also factors like pollution,
stress, addictions and improper diet and lifestyle puts us at a high risk of developing some
or the other health hazards. It will be very true to say that sound health has become an
asset in the current scenario.

Aastha Hospital- a dream is an answer to today's quest for better health facilities and
effective medical treatments. The hospital promises to offer holistic approach based on
ethics, quality and professionals backed by competitive prices. It prides itself on quality
in terms of design, patient care, medical, paramedical, general staff and infrastructure
facilities.

Astha Hospital was started by Dr.Pawan Jain.As a hospital to give the best and modern
facility for the suffering patients. Dr. Sekhar Jain and Dr. D.K.Jain started in this
undeveloped part of land.This hospital is dedicated for his mother.
Question -On asking about the funda of his life?

On this he replied that he divided his life in different stages and always dream and aims
to achieve the goals by small objective. He beautifully explained that he always aimed
high in life and never disappointed by failures.

He told about life that it has 4 letters and what we say when a baby is born

He said whenever a baby is born we wish him to live a long life but everyones life has if
word attached that represents the uncertainty and through ups and downs of life one day
it comes to its end .

Question. What is the concept of Medical tourism?

He said that medical tourism is nothing but it is an idea of providing medical treatment
to the foreigners. In this the foreigners comes to India for treatment as the treatment cost
for them are very cheap and facilities are also far better compared to their own countries.
This medical tourism is prevailing in mainly 4 major cities i.e. in Delhi, Hyderabad,
Mumbai and Chennai where the International Airports are available. Generally in
medical tourism the hospital provides all the facilities itself from the airport to hospital.
The foreigners enjoys a VIP stay and treatment at a very low cost mainly this is
proffered by low income peoples.

Question: - What about the infrastructure of this Hospital?

Answer: - Astha Hospital is situated in the heart of Greater Noida with easy
communication facility. It has enjoyed a prestigious status in the locality for its services
and patients care, and thereby being a referral centre for specialty and multispeciality
treatment.

An efficient and trained staff of around 50 patients care professional and a team of 25
specialty physicians fortify the strength of Aastha. Almost all the physicians that are
affiliated to Aastha are M.S, M.D. and Diplomats with National Board, a figure that ranks
well above average for any nursing home.

Question: - What are the departments that are available in the hospital?

Answer: - We have all the essential departments that are required in a multispeciality
hospital

Out Patient Department (OPD)

For patients whose health complaints do not require hospitalization, we provide a large
range of consultative, diagnostic and surgical services through our Out-Patient
Department (OPD). Consultants from various specialties have an OPD clinic schedule
and patients can consult them after taking prior appointment from the OPD Desk.

In Patient Department

At Aastha, we take all care to ensure your stay and your visitors are as comfortable as
possible.

Casualty

The well equipped Casualty Department treats all emergencies, round the clock. The
Casualty Medical Officers have the back-up support of senior residents of all specialized
departments and a Red Alert team, which consist of in-house Intensivists, in-house
Anaesthetist and a Medical registrar.

Gastrointestinal department

• Dedicated Endoscopy department for diagnosis and executing excellent results

with the help of state-of-the-art video endoscope for gastroscopy, colonoscopy,
ERCP.
• Latest digital fluoroscopy unit to conduct therapeutic endoscopies requiring
fluoroscopy.

OT is well equipped with advanced anesthesia monitors, Electro surgical units,

laparoscopic unit, ultra sonic dissector, which enables us to handle complex gastro-
intestinal surgeries

Gynecology and Obstetrics department

 • We have Ultrasound and endoscopy facility for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Ultrasound guided procedures are done in the theatre & performed as outpatient
procedures.
• State-of-the-art Labor Wards with birthing suites, all at par with the best western

• We also provide 24-hour maternity with epidural and anesthetic services, well-

Gynecological surgeries.

Department of General medicine

• We offer Non surgical treatment of stones (renal and bladder calculi).

• Diagnostic and therapeutic cystoscopies are performed by specialists to help offer
fast solutions to the patients.
• Common Urological Problems, e.g. Enlarged Prostate, Urinary
Incontinence,Strictureurethras
Lower Urinary Tract diseases are routinely treated here.
• We do regular Screening programs to detect Urological Cancers.

Question: - Most of the patients are from the nearby villages and cannot
afford expensive treatments. What are the steps the hospital has
undertaken in this regard?

Answer: - We are pleased to inform you that we have set up Astha Neighbourhood
Health Plan are to provide world -class medical care to our valued neighbours. And to the
poor patients. This scheme will entitle the patient for the following privileges.

• 15% discount on preventive health check packages.

• 10% discount on all Diagnostic services.
• 10% discount on Bed charges and investigations other than packages.
 • 50% discount for the people living below poverty line.
• 30% discount for the students.
• Special card extending privileged attention in the hospital.
• Facilitation Desk.
• Invitation to all public health awareness lectures.
• Delivery of Health Check Reports at the members’ house.
• In case of emergency, doctor's visit at your door step during daytime at Rs.200/-
per call and at night (10.00 p.m. - 6.00 a.m.) at Rs. 300/- per call (at the stated
address).
• Free Ambulance facility during emergency calling.

These facilities are exclusively for the residents of Greater Noida and its nearby areas.

Question: - Does the Hospital facilitate visiting Doctors?

Answer: - The Hospital provides visiting Doctors for the needy one on request. For
availing this facility the management has to be informed in advance so that appointments
could be made with the respective Doctors. Moreover the management sometimes avail
this facility with its own cost.

Question: - Does the hospital organize any health camps for the citizens?

Answer:- Yes, we often runs health checkup camps like general checkup for contagious
diseases, for seasonal diseases, heart check-up, diabetic check-up at discount rates and
even free of cost. During the month of June and July the Hospital has arranged for a free
health camp for viral fever. The hospital even arrange for free polio dose to the children
during Sundays. We have recently organized a free checkup program for the pregnant
women so that their health and that of their unborn child must not be at stake.

Question: - How much equipped is the staff to handle any emergency

situation?

Answer: - The hospital is well equipped to handle any kind of emergency. The hospital
has well ambulances to respond to immidiate calls. The Casualty Department with
modern machines treats all emergencies, round the clock. The Casualty Medical Officers
have the back-up support of senior residents of all specialized departments and a Red
Alert team, which consist of in-house Intensivists, in-house Anaesthetist and a Medical
registrar. Senior consultants on call are available round the clock to provide emergency
services to patients. Most of the diagnostic services required for emergency services are
available 24 hours.

Question: - What are the marketing strategies you have opted to compete
in the market?

Answer: - In order to survive in the market we are trying to provide customers best
quality day-to-day healthcare services under one roof, at an affordable price. For the
marketing of our Hospital our marketing team meet people in different schools, colleges,
institutions, offices & industries to make them aware of our healthcare services and the
facilities we provide. The discount coupons for the poor and the student population also
work as a marketing strategy for our hospital.

. Question: Do this hospital take help of any advertisement for customer

awareness?
Answer;- No we don’t adopt any advertisement for customer awareness it is an unethical
in medical practice. Awareness and publicity is done through word of mouth and better
satisfaction to our patients.
Question: According to you what is the key to get success in any field of

our life?

Answer: One get success throughout his life only when he is dedicated towards his work,
should give his best commitment to achieve his target and should be honest to himself.

You should be realistic and you must be goal oriented. you must be hard worker not
smart worker.

My Experience :-
Initially, we have found the interview is going to be tough enough to be done. But as I
made approach to have interview, we get learnt how to contact to the top management of
any big organizations. The Experience was very good as we feel very proud after taking
an interview in fact it was a unique experience of taking interview
