Introduction
PCM-120 equipment is destined for channels organization on local and intrazonal
communication networks by compaction of high frequency symmetrical cables. System
provides 120 VBC. Line path is organized on 2-cable 4-wire scheme.

1.2 Characteristic of the PDH DTS transmission line

We have МКС-4х4 cable and 16 wires. For one system we need 2 cables. So quantity of DTS=8. Each
system multiplexes 4 streams.
N E 1 Line =N DTS∗4=8∗4=32 E1

Let's calculate quantity of the remained E1 streams to the SDH ring:

N ring −10=N E 1 Line−( N SNN −9+ N SNN −10 ) =32−( 10+13 ) =9E1
