Group Assignment/Project Specification (30%)

TASK DESCRIPTION

This assignment/project is to be done in a group (3 or 4 members). Once you start working


on the assignment, you MAY NOT switch or regroup with someone else.

Business Plan
Business plans, and business planning, are an essential part of doing business. As defined in
your textbook, a business plan is a written document that identifies a company's goals and
outlines how the company intends to achieve the goals. Just as important as the plan itself,
the process of writing a business plan forces a businessperson to think ahead, to set
achievable goals, to anticipate problems, and to be prepared for competition. The process,
not the plan itself, increases the likelihood that the business will be a success.

As a group, create a business plan for a new on-line business/company. It may be for a small
business or a large company. The purpose of this project is to provide you with a step-by-
step guide to creating a business plan, and in doing helps you complete the requirements of
your project.

Creating Homepage/Storefront
Next, your task is to create an electronic storefront in the WWW to conduct electronic
commerce transaction of your company. You are required to register a minimum of 10
tangible products that you wish to offer to your targeted online consumers.

Video Presentation
Your group is then required to create at least 10 minutes video presentation of your
electronic storefront which have to be presented in any venue using the projector and any
device you think is suitable. “BURN into CD” for the entire video presentation which have
to involve all members.

Upon completion, you are required to submit the following: -

 Business plan (Minimum 10 pages)


 Electronic storefront screenshots with explanation (Minimum 10 pages)
 Electronic storefront video presentation (CD)
 Attach the hardcopy of presentation slides as handout together with the report
and upload softcopy via blackboard (only leader upload).
 References (Harvard referencing technique)
 Minutes of meetings (Proper format) – at least 3 copies of minutes of meetings with
details discussion.
 Survey form for user testing on your website, analysis and comment
 Type a report of Work’s contribution of each member (A maximum of 25 marks will
be given to each member based on their contributions and presentation skill).

Please adhere to the following report requirement:

 Table of Contents
 1.5 spacing, Times New Roman, Justified Alignment
 Header/Footer and page numbers
 Plagiarism results using free software. Eg Small SEO tools. (optional)
