Subject : Sub Color Adjustment Method After Panel or Board Replacement
Symptom : After panel or board replacement process, picture become greenish at
component and PC input.

Cause : Due to the usage of multi source panel, there is a big fluctuation on the ADC
Calibration result which current average data cannot be used.

Service Treatment :

To overcome this issue, technician needs to manually conduct the ADC Calibration process on
each customer set after change the panel or main board.

Note: After change the panel or main board, software update is required. Please refer to
Technical News TVG- M09030. After USB SW update only please follow the steps in next
page.

After panel and/or main board replacement is done & USB SW update is performed, please
perform the following steps.

Step 1:
Perform “Factory Setting” and select “Shop Mode” from the initial setup menu.

Step 2:
Change to Component mode and turn off the OSD.

Step 3:
Enter the service mode.

Step 4:
Next, press “Previous Channel” on remote commander. Screen as below will appear:

Step 5:
Then, press “8” + “0” + “7” on remote commander. Screen as below will appear:

Step 6:
By using DVD player, please input “color bar signal” through the component input.

Step 7:
Next, press “Item select- right key” on the remote commander as below.
The adjustment process will start automatically.

CSS Additional Comments:

PAL Color Bar Signal can be downloaded from ORISS. (Software ID 337864)
Convert it to VCD and playback on DVD Player.

Step 8:
The auto adjustment will take some time, please wait until Min and Max Value stop changing and
no “1” change to “0” as shown below.

Step 9:
Then, press “8” + “1” + “5” on remote commander.
Please record down the number that appears on screen as shown below.

For example in this case, the value is “472”.

Step 10:
Then, press “8” + “0” + “8” on remote commander.
We need to calculate the new “PC SACR” value. Please use formula as shown below.

Step 11:
Change the “PC SACR” accordingly by using remote commander.

Step 12:
Repeat step 9, 10 and 11 for SACG, SACB, SAGR, SAGG, and SAGB value.

Refer to the example below:

Step 13:
Press “TV Standby” button on remote commander to save the data. Then turn on the TV &
perform “Factory Setting”.
