Board Configuration Rules

Rules for Configuring the Basic Subrack

The logical boards OMU, USRSU, USPID3, and ENSFU are installed in the basic subrack. The
OMU boards are installed in slots 0 and 2; the USRSU boards are installed in slots 4, 5, 8, and 9;
the USPID3 boards are installed in slots 10 and 12; the ENSFU boards are installed in slots 1, 3,
11, and 13. Figure 1 shows the board configuration of the basic subrack.

Rules for Configuring the Logical Boards

Table 2 describes the rules for configuring the logical boards.
Table 2 Rules for configuring the logical boards

Logical Board Configuration Principle

OMU Each site is configured with two OMU boards.

ENSFU If the FE and BE are deployed in the same subrack, the ENSFU boards are
permanently installed in slots 1, 3, 11, and 13. If the FE and BE are
deployed in different subracks, the ENSFU boards are installed from the
left of the SWU boards to the right.

USRSU The USRSU boards are permanently installed in slots 4, 5, 8, and 9.

USPID3 Each site is configured with two USPID3 boards.

Rules for Configuring the SWU/SWI Boards

Table 3 describes the rules for configuring the SWU/SWI boards.
