Youth Agricareture (YACT) Goes To School 2017

On October 21st 2017, Science and Technology Department (STD) and Project Department
collaborated in organizing event called Youth Agricareture (YACT) Goes To School 2017. This
event placed at SMA Plus Bina Bangsa Sejahtera, Dramaga, Bogor, West Java with theme “Zero
Hunger and Prosperity”.This event got a good appreciation and enthusiasm from the 42
participants which are the students of SMA Plus Bina Bangsa Sejahtera. YACT started at 08.40
and finished at 11.50. The event began with opening speech by Aurani Widhy as Project Officer,
Wahyu Inayah as Deputy Local Director (DLD) and Tito Adidewanto, S.TP as Vice Principal of
SMA Plus Bina Bangsa Sejahtera. Our speakers, Afu Vianti Driantika and Baban Sarbana S.E,
M.Si, gave the informations about IPB and IAAS Indonesia profile and knowledge about
socioentrepreuner. Before started the presentation from our speakers, Dedi Iskandar (IOP 24) and
Nanda Rizky(IOP 24) as the Master of Ceremony gave a game to refresh the situation.

Afu Vianti Driantika explained IAAS Indonesia, zero hunger and prosperity and the cause of the
hunger in this world and Indonesia. Then what kind of simple thing could we do as a student to
reach zero hunger and minimize the world hunger . She told that one thing we could do was
joined the snapfood as awareness and reminded others to stop food waste. This session was held
in 35 minutes.

After that our next speaker Baban Sarbana S.E, M.Si gave an ice breaking before started the
topic. Then he told about “Connecting the Angels of Change” that how we could start to be a
socioentrepreuner even we still the students. He also told that helped and cared to people was an
importing thing we should do. Then he showed an example of socioentrepreuner such as a
homestay for the orphans, Sobat Desa and Kampung Zumba. This session also was held in 35
minutes.

Next, we were having a group discussion session. In this session the students talked about the
zero hunger, what cause the hunger, how to reach zero hunger, and what thing could solve the
food waste, then they wrote it as a mind map. After discussed in 10 minutes, the students did the
presentation and explained their mind map.

Finally, YACT was closed by announcement of the best percentation. We hope, YACT will
continue to sharpen student’s awareness about zero hunger and knowledge about
socioentrepreuner. We would like to thank you to all participants who attended Youth
