ADJUSTMENT OF BRAKE 710165, 616260 AND 650824


(FOR MACHINES MX05, MX06, MX06A, MX10 AND MX10A)

Summary

The machine is equipped with two direct acting


brakes of drum type.

The brakes operate independently and must


therefore be adjusted separately.

The brakes operates only after the machine has


stopped.

The brake torque is not adjustable.

Safety measures
Always engage the car locking device before starting work on the brake.

Always keep the control door closed when not working there.

How to check and adjust the stroke


Step Action Illustration

OPENING THE BRAKE Centre nut


1.1 Open the brake fully by tightening the centre
nut in the bottom.

CHECKING THE AIR GAP


0.05 mm
< 0.10 mm
Measure the air gap between the brake lining
and the drum by sliding a feeler gauge round
the air gap.

1.2 IF the air gap is THEN


0,05 mm but less Close the brake
than 0,10 mm (go to step 1.6)

0,10 mm or more Adjust air gap

The air gap is to be adjusted from one end at a
time by alternately turning the two adjusting
screws.

The adjusting screws are very sensitive.


(1/4 turn corresponds to 0.25 mm change in the

How to adjust the brake releasing device

2.1 Adjust the brake levers parallel to the brake
face using the set screw.

Tighten the test screw. Centre nut
