BBIT was the perfect course for me, I was
looking for a combination of the two passions
I had in business and IT. I was very excited
when I joined Strathmore. I did my community
based attachment which is mandatory for all
Strathmore students, in Egypt through
AIESEC. My whole kind of thinking shifted
during this experience. I started CLEM
Creative Computing in order to bring my
different ideas into the world. The business
offers different products that include;
PesaWay – a product we partnered with a
bank to offer bulk collection, bulk payments,
escrow services and a point of sale system
currently being used by Eveready East Africa
Limited, and finally we customize systems for
other clients. My partner and I developed our
company from earning about Kshs. 700, 000
per year to about Kshs. 3.8 million in a span of
one year. We started the company with two
people but now we are 11 people.

OUR ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants must meet the following

requirement:
• KCSE Mean grade of C+
• 6 Credits at O level, A level 2 principal passes
and 1 subsidiary
• IB minimum 24 out of 45.
• A distinction in the Strathmore Entrance Exam.
• Proven leadership skills in school & community
and outstanding performance in extra-curricular
activities are an added advantage.

All candidates meeting the entry requirement

are required to sit the University entrance
examination in English, Mathematics and
an oral interview.

Interviews are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays

at 8:00 am.

Candidates are required to bring original and

photocopies of all relevant academic testimonials,
passport-size photographs and
Ksh 1,800 entrance exam fee.

INTAKES
• Intakes for the full-time programme are in March
and June
• Intakes for the evening programme are in May
and September

EXEMPTIONS
Only Strathmore DBIT graduates can qualify
for exemptions.
