AIR CONDITIONING

DO’S & DON’TS OPERATION


TOSHIBA (SMMS) VRF
Do’s:
 On power failure, reset system following below steps for operation:

1. Switch ON main power supply of Indoor Units


2. Switch ON main power supply of Outdoor Units
3. Switch ON indoor units with remote control sets

 If system is not in operation for extended period, switch OFF main power supply.
But Prior to Switching ON Units, Ensure the Outdoor Units is switched ON before 6hrs.

 Keep both outdoor & indoor units power supply ON all the time, even if indoor units
are not in operation.

 In case of any trouble with the system kindly mention error code (eg. E08, P12 etc.) while
login complaints to service person.

 In case of blinking of LED on units, contact service person.

 When a trouble (burnt smell, abnormal noise, water dripping etc.) Is felt, immediately stop
the operation, switch OFF main power supply and contact service person.

 Ensure that air-conditioned area is always free from dust and debris.

 Keep the space around outdoor units clear and clean.

 Keep remote control handset away from heat and water.

 On observing filter sign on remote /indoor units (Display ), it is time to clean filter,
contact service person.

 Please be informed of locations of various switches, electrical panel etc for


emergency operation.

 In case of fire hazards, immediately turn OFF the electrical main power supply.
 Ensure that for cooling operation, MODE is set on COOL (Display ).

 Periodic check of health of power supply (specified voltage and frequency) is


necessary.
AIR CONDITIONING

Don’ts:

 For daily operation, do not turn air conditioner ON/OFF from the power mains
Switch. Use the ON/OFF operation button of remote control.

 Do not use air conditioners for special purpose such as storage of foods, plants and
Animals, precise equipments etc.

 Do not expose your body directly to cool air draft for long time.

 Do not allow to install/repair Toshiba products anybody other than Installer/Service


Person certified by Toshiba.

 Do not repair/modify any unit by yourself using local components and parts.

 Do not allow our representatives to work without any safety equipments such as
safety belts, goggles, testers etc.

 Do not use benzene, thinner, polishing powder, or similar solvents for cleaning
indoor units. These may cause the plastic surface to crack or deform.

 Do not intend to do the daily maintenance and/or Air Filter cleaning by yourself.
