The lens of this camera can be focused in two
ways: the "Auto Focus" (AD of automatic
settingand the "ManualFocus" (MF)of
manualsetting. When the "AF" is selected,
take the pictureby usingthe "SAF"(Single
Auto Focus)mode to focus the lens each time
the shutter releaseis depressedhalfway,or
the "CAF" (ContinuousAuto Focus)mode to
continuefocusingthe lens as long as the

El objetivo de esta c1mara puede enfocarse de
dos maneras:por "Autofoco" (AF),de ajuste
autom6tico,o por "EnfoqueManual" (MF),de

 This camera has a passive AF system - the
same as is used in AF SLR cameras - which
depends on brightness and subject contrast.
Due to this dubjects in the dark or with low
contrast can be focused only with ditficulty.
Whenever such cases occur, the AF-assist
beam is automaticallyemitted on the subject
each time the lens is focused in "SAF" or one
time the lens is initiallyfocused in "CAF" to
improvethe focusing accuracy.The AF-assist
beam is not emitted in the manual-focus
mode.
The AF assist beam reachesas far as 4m even
in the dark so that it helps make a sharp focus-
ing.

Diese Kamera besitzt ein von Helligkeitund
Kontrastdes MotivesabhiingigespassivesAF-
System, wie 6s auch in AF SLR Kameras
verwendet wird. Aus diesem Grunde lassen
sich Motive im Dunkelnoder mit zu geringem
Kontrast nur schwer fokussieren.
In solchen Fiillen wird das AF-Hilfslicht
automatisch zugeschaltet, bei Einzelbild-
Belichtung("S")erfolgtdieseZuschaltungbei
jedem Fokussieren des Objektivs, bei
Serienbelichtung("C") nur bei der ursprUng-
fichen Fokussierung, um die Schdirfe zt)
verbessern. Bei manueller Entfernungs-
einstellung wird das AF-Hilfslicht nicht
zugeschaltet.
Das AF-Helfslicht besitzt selbst im Dunkeln
eine Reichweitevon 4 metem und ermdglicht
dadurch eine scharfe Fokussierung.
Cet appareilest equip6 du systdme de mise
au point auto focus passif utilis6 sur les
appareils reflexes. Celui ci depend de la
luminosit6 et du contraste, un manque de
luminosit6ou de contrastepeut rendrela mise
au point difficile.
Dans ces circonstances, le faisceau
d'assistanceAF est automatiquement6mis
vers le sujet,chaquefois que I'objectifest mis
au point en "SAF", ou une fois lorsque
I'objectif est mis au point en "CAF" afin
d'am6liorerla pr6cisionde la mise au point.
Le faisceaud'assistanceAF n'est pas 6mis en
mode de mise au point manuelle.
Le faisceau d'assistance AF a une port6e
allantjusqu'i 4m m6me dans I'obscurit6et il
contribuedonc i la nettetede la miseau point.
Esta c6mara dispone de un sistema AF
