LIT-WEEK WRITING COMPETITION

Please go through the text below carefully.

TASK:

Use your imagination to write a creative piece using the picture above as stimulus text. You may choose any one of
the following text types:

a. News Article
b. News Report
c. Blog Post
d. Speech

You must use 300 to 350 words of continuous writing or collection of writings arranged in any creative way.

Reflection and Development: In about 100 words you will explain your creative writing piece. Make sure to include
the following: How it responds to the stimulus? What are the language choices you have made, and to what effect?

Please make sure that your entries reach me by Monday, 25th of February. It is mandatory for everyone to send
entries as it will also be taken as a formative. You are free to research. All entries will be run through Turnitin.
