Individual footing’s bearing capacity check of proposed two storied RCC

building of Arien Knit Composite Ltd.

Footing points of proposed footings (Grid K, L and M) of two storied building.
Footings of grid K will be combined with Grid J footings (one storied steel shed).

Soil bearing capacity consideration

From soil test report of Bore hole-6 and Bore hole-11 where the proposed building will
be constructed at 5 to 10 ft depth average allowable bearing capacity for square
footing=0.545 tsf (FOS=3.0)=1.318 ksf (FOS=2.5).

After Soil improvement / compaction of below each footing , allowable bearing capacity
will be =1.318 *1.4=1.83 ksf (FOS=2.5).

This short report consists of only bearing capacity of soil to bear the service load of
proposed two storied building. Proposed foundations’ thickness and reinforcement will
be finalized later.
