Architectural Planning
Roof with 1:3 slope shall generally be adopted for pitched roof buildings.
Sufficient head room shall be kept above the crane rail for the passage of the
crane and height above the crane clearance diagram to the bottom part of
roof structure shall not be less than 200mm. However, minimum headroom of
2000 mm to be kept above any platform on the crane to underside of
structural member or any other permanent object.

Floor to floor height shall be commensurate with requirements. However,

clear height shall not be less than 2200mm.
Minimum 3000 mm clearance between any working floor to the bottom most
part of EOT crane should be maintained.
Clear headroom of 2200 mm minimum shall be maintained in all walkways,
visitors gallery.

Roof and Side Sheeting

In general, roofs and walls of structural buildings shall be covered with precolour
coated galvalume profiled sheets of 0.5 TCT and matching FRP
translucent or polycarbonate transparent sheets of 3mm thickness on walls.
Additional FRP sheets of 3mm thickness on roofs as required, matching with
the pre-colour coated sheets, shall be used for buildings. Suitably designed
safety guard, made of structural steel shall be used below FRP sheet on roof
in order to avoid accident due to breakage of FRP sheets during roof
maintenance. For extension of existing buildings, having galvanized steel
sheets, galvalume sheet with same profile of existing one shall be used for
the extended portions also.

Roof and side walls of conveyor galleries shall be covered with Pre-Colour
Coated sheets with a provision of gap of 300 mm below roof and 150 mm
from top of floor level on the side wall for ventilation.

Adequate provision for natural light inside conveyor gallery shall be made
through side walls by providing translucent sheets (FRP sheets as per IS:
12866-latest). Every sixth sheet on side wall shall be FRP sheet of thickness
3mm and shall be staggered on opposite wall.

STRUCTURAL STEEL

section / combination of both conforming to IS 1977 or IS:2062, pipes conforming to IS:1161/
IS:1239, chequered plate conforming to IS: 3502, bolts and nuts shall conform to IS: 1363 or
IS: 1364, mild steel rounds, monorails, stays, safety chains, ladders, MS grating etc. in
columns, beams, gantry girders, bunkers, hoppers, roof trusses, portals, laced purlins,
space frames, hangers, struts, monorails, galleries, stiffeners, wall beams, sheeting runners,
brackets, stub columns, bracings, cleats, trestles, base plates, splice plates, chequered plate
flooring, decking and seal plates, steel frame grid over false ceiling, walkway platforms, MS
gratings, ladders, stairs, stringers, treads, landings, hand-rails etc including 2 coats of
alkyd base red-lead (IS: 102) or zinc-chromate (IS 2074) or Zinc-phosphate primer
and 1 finish coat of PVC-copolymer paint on synthetic enamelling oil alkyd resin paint,
surface face preparation quality shall be Sa2-1/2 as per SIS -0055900 etc. all complete
as per specification.

Dismantling of steel structure, lowering of material and carriage of the dismantled material
up to field fabrication shop / projects storage including temporary dismantling, cutting, re-
welding, supporting, and restoring to correct position all temporarily dismantled members,
re-alighment of all adjacent connected members to their correct positions), scafolding,
staging, tools & tackles, gas cutting, welding, consumables etc all complete.

Providing and fixing polished teakwood handrail on MS flat all complete as per
specification and directions of engineer in charge
Providing and fixing galvanised chain link fencing/2 ply barbed wire fencing with
concrete fencing post as per specification.

Supply, fabrication and installing in position and testing MS Gates/Collapsible

Gates/Subsidery Gates out of channels, joists, angles, flats, plates, pipes, welded steel wire
mesh & sheets including stiffners, bracings, fabricated hinges, MS Aldrops with locking
arrangement, tempered steel pivot, guide track of MS Tee, bronze aluminium ball bearing
arrangements, castor wheels, paintings etc. all complete as per specification.
PILING
Mobilisation and installation of hydraulic rotary piling rigs for boring of 450mm to 600 mm
diameter cast-in-situ RCC vertical pile as per IS 2911 (Part 1 Sec 2) using cement concrete
grade M25 conforming to IS:456 with 20 mm nominal size stone aggregates with a minimum
cement content of 400Kg per cum of concrete including providing all materials ,
boring/drilling in all types of soil, providing bentonite slurry and/or casing for stabilization
of pile bore, flushing of pile bore, cleaning, providing plasticizer wherever required, breaking
pile head to cut off level, exposing pile reinforcement for embedment in pile cap,
disposal of chipped pile debris at identified location etc. including empty boring from ground
level to pile cutoff level etc including all load tests, low strain pile integrity test as per
specification, drawing and as directed by the engineer-in-charge.

WATER SUPPLY
Providing and laying Make-Up Water system piping with all fittings for all dia. as per
specification
Providing and laying Potable Water system piping with fittings for all dia. as per specification

Providing and laying Water based fire fighting system piping with fittings for all dia. as per
specification
Providing and laying Dust suppression system piping with fittings for all dia. as per
specification
Providing and laying Waste water collection and disposal piping with fittings for all dia. as
per specification
Providing and fixing GI Pipes sleeves for draining out rain water from chajja and canopy
Providing & fixing in position P.V.C. water tank of Syntex or approved equivalent including

SANITARY
Providing and fixing Stoneware/CI/RC pipes including all fittings as per specification for
external work with all gaskets, jointing, hydro testing etc. complete including trenching &
refilling, anti- corrosive paint etc all complete for all sizes

Providing and fixing Soil pipe/Waste pipe/anti-siphonage pipe including all fittings as per
specification
Providing and fixing glazed stoneware pipe conforming to IS:651 / hume pipes including
all fittings with minimum diameter of 100mm as per specification.

Providing and fixing Cast iron spun pipes (Class -B)/(Class-C) including all fittings conforming
to IS:1536 and encased with PCC
Providing brick masonry Manhole/Septic tank including covers as per specification

Providing Floor traps/Gully traps/inspection pits/junctions pits/collecting pits as per

specification
Supply and fixing Wash Basin/kitchen sink/water closet/Urinals etc as per specification.

ROAD WORKS
Preparation of sub grade by excavating earth to required depth for all types of soil, dressing to
camber and consolidating the base including making good the undulation etc and disposal of
surplus earth in all leads etc. all complete.
Supplying and laying 150mm thick plain cement concrete kerb of grade M-20 with 20 mm
nominal size stone aggregate and of shape , making drainage opening where required etc all
complete.
Supply and laying Class NP-3 and NP-4 as per IS: 458:2003 type pipe in raised shoulders as
rain water drains as per detailed drawing including fixing with cement mortar (1:2) in 13mm
thick joints, finishing of joints with neat cement paste etc all complete.

Providing and laying cement concrete of grade M40 using 20 mm nominal size stone
aggregate with approved admixture (if required), provision for necessary joints including
compaction, finishing to lines and grades, curing and providing & fixing forwork etc. all
complete.
MISCELLANEOUS:
Providing 250mm thick Boulder soling including spreading of earth, ramming, watering including
25mm thick cushion of sand complete.
Anti termite chemical treatment of soil with Chlorpyriphos/Lindane E.C. 20% with
1% concentration conforming to IS:8944 and as per IS 6313 all complete.

Laying of earthing mats/rods including risers, transportation from yard stores, loading,
unloading, cutting to length, welding, protective painting of joints etc. all complete.

Providing Earthing pit as per drawing with charcoal & salt, GI pipes, GI earth electrodes, GI wire,
GI strips, brick chamber with covers including associated earthwork etc. all complete.

Providing and installation of Variable message signs including Cantilever type MS supports etc.
all complete as per drawings, specifications, manufacturer's recommendations, indian
standards.
Providing and Filling in trenches, plinths, area paving and other underground structures with
graded stone aggregate of size range 63 mm to 45 mm in layers not exceeding 230 mm in
thickness including breaking of stone boulders to required sizes, filling the interstices with
selected sand and compacting to 85 % of original volume of stone stack for all lifts etc. all
complete. Payment shall be made for the measurement of the volume of the compacted fill.

Supply and laying approved quality Stone aggregate 40mm size in transformer yards.

Providing and fixing weep holes in Drains consisting of 100 mm dia HDPE pipe sleeves with
single side covering for the pipe mouth with galvanised welded wire fabric of 20 mm sq. opening
covered with 40 mm downgraded aggregates in 300 X 300 mm sq. and 300 mm deep size all
complete.
