I. OBJECTIVES
A. To share one’s God given talent in dancing.
B. To deepen camaraderie among CS Faculty, students and their family members.
C. To develop cooperation, teamwork and sportsmanship.
D. To show the importance of partnership of school and home in the development of student talents
and well-being.
II. CONTEST RULES
1. Open to all Pre-school to High School students and their immediate family members and guardians.
2. The contest is divided into the following:
2.1 Pre-School - Nursery, Kinder 1 and Kinder 2
2.2 Elementary Category 1 - Grades 1, 2 and 3
2.3 Elementary Category 2 - Grades 4, 5 and 6
2.4 High School Category - Grades 7, 8, 9 and 10
2. Dance group must be composed of students, their family members and class advisers of each year level.
3. Dance members maybe all male or female or a combination of both. All dance groups must have a back-
up copy of the CD.
4. A registration form must be filled in personally by the leader of the participating dance group at
Students Affairs Office.
5. In Pre-School and Grade School Category the maximum number of participants is allowed while in
High School Category Each participating dance group must consist of a minimum of 15 and maximum of
20 members. They maybe all boys, all girls or mixed.
6. The song must be an OPM music with the combination of Switch It Up Challenge. Remix is allowed.
Deadline of submission of music is on February 22, 2019.
7. Each dance group is given a maximum of five (5) minutes to their performances. A corresponding of
2-point deduction will be given per minute of time extension.
8. Dance steps, body movements and costumes must conform to normal standards of morality and good
conduct. Dangerous stunts (hand/head spinning, vertical, and the lie) are not allowed.
9. Props should be reasonably light of easy and fast mobility, and must not include sharp objects,
flammable materials, intoxicating fumes and fireworks, pyrotechnics of any sort. The use of any type of liquid
that could make the dance floor wet/slippery is likewise prohibited.
10. The top 3 participating dance group from each category who earned the highest score will be
proclaimed as Champion, First Runner-up and Second Runner-up respectively. Prizes include trophies and
certificates.
11. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.
12. Any violation to these rules will lead the disqualification of the group.
III. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
Choreography (The composition of dance steps and sequences) 30%
Synchronization and Timing (Coordination and proper timing steps) 25%
Creativity and Style (Choice and arrangement of music) 20%
Costume and Props 10%
Relevance to the Celebration 15%

the celebration of 30th Founding Anniversary of our school. This focuses on the Family Night’s Dance Contest
with the theme of “OPM DANCE CRAZE”, which is an annual competition that our students always looked
forward to. The said event aims to enhance and expose the students’ talent in performing arts like dancing, to
build up their confidence by coming on stage and to foster unity among them and between their families.
