IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or Let’s have a opening song to energize the class.
presenting the new lesson Song “Tatsulok”
B. Establishing a purpose for a Ask to the student from the song that they sang, what is the shape that
lesson they mention?
Answer: Tatsulok or Triangle
C. Presenting examples/instances Let the 3 student draw a triangle on the board.
of the new lesson Ask from them how triangles differ from each other.
- They differ in measurement of sides and angles.
D. Discussing new concepts and Present 3 triangles which are the acute triangle, right triangle and obtuse
practicing new skill # 1 triangle.
Tell why the triangles named acute triangle, right triangle and obtuse
triangle.(because of the angles that they have, remember the
classification of angle).
Present 3 triangles which are the equilateral triangle, isosceles triangle,
and scalene triangle.
E. Discussing new concepts and Group activity.
practicing new skill # 2 Circle the letter that corresponds your answer.

F. Developing mastery (Leads to From the activity, since they already know the classification of triangle
formative assessment 3) looking at the angle, tell that the total sum of measurement of the a
triangle is 180 degrees.
G. Finding practical applications of Let the students solve for the missing angles on the board.
concepts and skills in daily
living
H. Making generalization and A triangle is a polygon with three edges and three vertices.
abstraction about the lesson
Types of triangle
By lengths of sides
Triangles can be classified according to the lengths of their sides:
 An equilateral triangle has all sides the same length. An
equilateral triangle is also a regular polygon with all angles
measuring 60°.
 An isosceles triangle has two sides of equal length.[note 1][2] An
isosceles triangle also has two angles of the same measure,
namely the angles opposite to the two sides of the same length;
this fact is the content of the isosceles triangle theorem, which
was known by Euclid.
 A scalene triangle has all its sides of different
lengths.Equivalently, it has all angles of different measure.

By internal angles
Triangles can also be classified according to their internal angles,
measured here in degrees.
 A right triangle
has one of its interior angles measuring 90° (a right angle). The side
opposite to the right angle is the hypotenuse, the longest side of the
triangle. The other two sides are called the legs of the triangle.
 A triangle with all interior angles measuring less than 90° is
an acute triangle or acute-angled triangle.
 A triangle with one interior angle measuring more than 90° is
an obtuse triangle or obtuse-angled triangle.

I. Evaluating learning Let the student answer the Worksheet about the lesson.
J. Additional activities for Additional exercises will be given to some students who did not meet the
application or remediation passing score.
