Using the place value tools at your table, please represent the

Now that we understand the values of each digit, we can
begin to compare the values of the numbers represented.

Roll and Count On!
1. Begin by writing a 2 digit number in the 1st box. At first, choose a number
that is less than 20. As your child becomes more familiar with the game,
increase the starting number.
2. Roll the dice.
3. Add the number on the dice to the 2 digit number. Write the new total in the
next box.
4. Continue rolling the dice and adding the amount to the new total.

For extra practice with place value, have your child represent the new totals with
place value tools.
