130 Principles of Metaphysics
A.)  Forty­One Principles of the Three Worlds
1.)  There are three primary divisions of being: physical, mental and spiritual.

2.)  In the physical world, energy is necessarily present within matter.  
3.)  In the mental world, quality is necessarily present within energy.
4.)  In the spiritual worlds:
   ­ Energy is not always required for matter

   ­ Quality is not always required for energy
   ­All qualitative and quantitative properties are subject to the laws of that

5.)  In the physical worlds time and space are necessary for experience.
Karma: 6.)  In the mental worlds neither time nor space are necessary for experience.

79 7.)  In the spiritual worlds a thing may have time but not space, or space but
not time, and sequence does not necessarily exist.
Personal Text 8.)  In the physical world sequence necessarily exists.
Veritas Teacher 9.)  In the mental world sequence is spherical instead of linear, and can exist in
any direction but not all at once.
10.)  In the spiritual worlds, there are realms where sequence exists, realms
where sequence is linear, and realms entirely beyond sequence, so that:
   A.) A creator does not necessarily come before the creation.
   B.) A creation can be necessary for the existence of the creator.
   C.) Operation can be had simultaneously with other operations which would
   usually imply sequence.
11.) Essence, Quality, Quantity, and Form are the four archetypal components
in the three primary divisions of existence.
12.)  In the physical world, an essence must be within a quality, a quality must
be expressed through a quantity, and that quantity must have a form in order
for the original essence to find expression.
13.)  In the mental world an essence must exist within a quality in order to find
expression.  This quality can but does not need to utilize quantity and form.
14.)  In the spiritual worlds an essence can find expression in and of itself.  This
essence can but does not need to utilize quality, quantity or form.  
15.)  If something mental is to be made physical, it must be given quantity and
form, which correspond to time and space.
16.)  If something spiritual is to be made mental, it must be given quality, if it
does not already have it.
17.)  If something spiritual is to be made physical, it must be given quality,
quantity and form, and these must adhere to space and time limitations.
18.)  Nothing is declared or created in the physical world; it is only expressed.
19.)  There is nothing in any of the three primary states of being which is not

willed, either in actuality or potentiality.
20.)  In all three worlds there is nothing sub­infinite which is static.  Only the
infinite has the possibility of being motionless.
21.)  It is not possible for any state of existence to stand alone so long as it is
in motion.
   A.)  If a thing is in motion there is a will behind it, and so in the least it is both
   spiritual and mental.
   B.)  Anything in the physical world is interpenetrated by mental and spiritual
   presence.
22.)  Anything supported by will can be influenced by will.
23.)  In all three worlds, the superiority of the corresponding vehicle decides
the amount of influence in that world:
   A.)  In the physical world alone, the strength and ability of the physical body
   decides its influence over physical things.
   B.)  In the mental world alone, the concentration and willpower of the mind
   decides its influence over mental things.
   C.)  In the spiritual worlds alone, the maturity and authority of the soul
decides its    influence over spiritual things.
      *The soul here is inclusive of the astral body when supported contextually.
24.)  All three worlds can be influenced by the mind and the soul, but only
reciprocally through the appropriate vehicle.
   A.)  The mind and soul can influence the physical world through the physical
vehicle.
   B.)  The soul can influence the mental world through the mind.
   C.)  The mind can influence the spiritual world through the soul.
   D.)  The physical body is only effective in the physical world, but can be used
to    influence the mind and soul by reaction and reflex.
25.)  Every force and intelligence is jointly male and female, modified as:
   A.)  More male than female
   B.)  More female than male
   C.)  Expressive of both male and female
   D.)  Male and female in potential, but neither in expression, i.e., expressively
   gender neutral.
26.)  Any force or intelligence qualified as 25a expresses visually in a masculine
form.
27.)  Any force or intelligence qualified as 25b expresses visually in a feminine
form.
28.)  Any force or intelligence qualified as 25c expresses visually with both
masculine and feminine bodily characteristics.
29.)  Any force or intelligence qualified as 25d expresses visually with neither
definite masculine or feminine bodily characteristics.  
30.)  A masculine force or intelligence operates primarily electrically.
31.)  A feminine force or intelligence operates primarily magnetically.
32.)  A force qualified as 25c or 25d operates primarily electromagnetically.
33.)  A force or intelligence expresses both its polarity and gender in
accordance to the world it is presenting itself in:
   A.)  In the physical world as a being with the bodily components of a male,
female, neither, or both.
   B.)  In the mental world as an intelligence operating expansively,
contractively, actively neither but potentially both, or actively fluxuating
between both.
   C.)  In the spiritual world as a force, either with or without an intelligible form,
acting electrically, magnetically, or electromagnetically, though possibly
expressing itself expansively, contractively, both or neither.  
34.)  A force or intelligence without a predetermined form will, if forced to
present itself in a form, naturally be presented in the form most compatible with
its qualities.
35.)  While restricted to a form, a spiritual or mental substance will constrict its
presence to the nature of that form.
36.)  When released from a form, a spiritual or mental substance will release its
presence into a form or mode of being more agreeable to its full actualized
nature.
37.)  There is a line of descent from fine spiritual to dense physical.
38.)  There is a line of descent from fine mental to dense physical.
39.)  There is a line of ascension from dense physical to fine spiritual and fine
mental.
40.)  In accordance with A37­A39:
   A.)  Something which is physical can be altered into a spiritual or mental

substance by transmutation.
   B.)  Something which is mental can be altered into a physical or spiritual
substance by transmutation.
   C.)  Something which is spiritual can be altered into a physical or mental
substance by transmutation.
41.)  The precepts of A40 do not apply to things which are inherently beyond
the dimensions of a particular sphere, as in:
   A.)  Something which is beyond space and time must be given space and
time limitations in order to operate in the physical world
   B.)  Something which is altogether timeless and spaceless, having no
beginning or end, must express itself through something which at least had a
beginning in order to operate in the mental world and in some regions of the
spiritual world, and must be restricted further to both time and space in order
to operate in the physical world.

B.)  Fifty­Five Principles of Magical Influence
1.)  There are three mediums, called matrixes, which allow the three worlds to
interpenetrate one another.  In the macrocosm they are:
   A.) The astral matrix allows for the communication between the soul and the
   mind.
   B.)  The mental matrix allows for the communication between the mind and
the    body.
   C.)  The vital matrix allows for the communication between the soul and the
   body.
2,)  In the macrocosm, they are represented by the archeus, which allows the
spiritual and mental worlds to interact with the physical world.
3.)  The communication between the mental and the spiritual worlds is
automatic unless undergone by a being, in which case the proper matrix relays
the idea to the proper vehicle.
4.)  There are regions of the spiritual world where the mental world has no
apparent influence.
5.)  Any effect must have a cause, and any cause can not express its effect
unless during its formulation the required components of the world wherein the
expression is to occur are taken into consideration.
6.)  Every effect has a consequence; there is nothing which is not connected to
or penetrated by something else.
7.)  An effect actualized in three worlds will have a consequence in three
worlds.  An effect actualized in two worlds will have a consequence in two
worlds.
   A.)  An effect actualized in the spiritual worlds can have both mental and
spiritual consequences.
   B.)  An effect actualized in the mental worlds can have both mental and
spiritual consequences.
   C.)  An effect actualized in the physical world will necessarily have physical,
mental and spiritual consequences.
8.)  Any effect observed in the physical world can be observed mentally and
spiritually as well.
9.)  Any effect observed in the mental worlds can be observed mentally and
spiritually.
10.)  In the spiritual worlds an effect can always be observed spiritually, but not
always mentally.
11.)  Wherever an effect can be observed mentally, its cause can be observed
by anything with a mental vehicle.  
12.)  An effect can be either actual or potential.  
13.)  An actual effect can only be observed.
14.)  A potential effect can be influenced.
15.)  A cause can be created by anything with a desire.
16.)  Any given effect is a probability of any given cause, and any given cause is
the    probability of the situations which gave arise to the cause.  
17.)  If the cause can be infiltrated, then the probability of a particular effect
can be influenced.  
18.)  If the probability of circumstance can be infiltrated, then any particular
cause can be created.
19.)  Everything has a cause; there is nothing that is not predetermined in
probability, either actual or potential, but something else.
20.)  The difference in appearance between fate, free will and randomness is
merely the superficial difference of the length of time for which something has

been predetermined.  
21.)  The foundation of existence is equilibrium.
22.)  Equilibrium, which is the consummation of organization, only appears to
be imbalance, which is the consummation of chaos, on a superficial level.  
23.)  Everything is equilibrated in potential, though often chaotic in
actualization.
24.)  Anything which is chaotic in actualization is more subjected to effects,
and has little or no control over causes.
25.)  Anything which is equilibrated in actualization is at the center of its own
causes, and therefore has direct control over consequent effects.
26.)  Only finite creatures can maintain a state of actual chaos, though they will
have potential equilibrium. 
27.)  In all three worlds, substance can be carved in order to attract a
substance which fits the carving.
   A.)  In the physical world, a hollow shape will be filled by a section of
something which fits that shape; i.e., a hole in the floor of the ocean will cause
the formation of a body of water which has the qualities of the dimensions of
that hole.  
   B.)  In the mental world, a desire or circumstance can be carved out of
mental substances which shall inevitably be filled with the proper substances
that shall naturally conform to the qualities of the carving; i.e., if one formulates
the desire to find something which is lost, then the substances of the mental
world will accumulate within that desire and take on its qualities. 
   C.)  In the spiritual world, a cause can be carved out of the spiritual
substances, and shall inevitably be filled by forces which shall take on the
corresponding qualities by conformity.  i.e., if one creates the formation of
certain energies for the sake of rain, then those energies will conform to the
desired properties and cause that effect through the necessary process of
communications down into the physical world.
28.)  In all three worlds, anything of its own substance has a gravitational pull
towards it, and operates within its proper sphere.  This operates in a manner
analogous to points A, B and C of principle 27.  
29.)  A superior power can not be influenced directly by an inferior power,
except by a line of designed circumstances which separate the inferior power
from the superior power, and allow for natural causes to force an action in the
superior power.  
30.)  In circumstances where the superior power is dominantly mental, or
controls all of its immediate probable circumstances, this kind of influence is
impossible.
31.)  There are intelligent forces in the universe which have great influence over
the probability of circumstances. 
32.)  An intelligent force is capable of personal and subjective interpretation.
33.)  An inferior thing can appeal to a superior thing based on the superior’s
interpretation of the inferior, as in:
   A.)  A peasant may reason with a king.
   B.)  A child may reason with its parents.
   C.)  A being of one level of spiritual authority may reason with a being of a
higher    level of spiritual authority. 
34.)  The qualities of an environment are conducive to the presence of things
compatible with those qualities.
35.)  If the qualities of an environment are not conducive to the presence of
something else, then that thing will not be allowed to enter into that
environment.
36.)  If the qualities of an environment are changed, then anything within that
environment which can not adapt to the change will be expelled from that
environment.
37.)  A thing will always be compatible with an environment of identical or
similar qualities.
38.)  A thing which is compatible with an environment will not always be
identical or similar in quality to that environment.  
39.)  Qualitative enmities expel and keep out their opposing qualities.  
40.)  Qualitative friendships attract and embrace their friendly qualities.  
41.)  The actualization of a quality within a given environment is directly
proportional to the similarities between the environment and the quality.
   A.)  If for example the quality a room has been impregnated with is
depression, then the quality of disappointment can be expressed within this
room, but not to its fullest potential.  The quality of depression, however, could
be expressed fully within this room.

42.)  A thing which is not apparently similar in quality can coexist in a given
environment which it is not oppositional to, but the distance in similarity
between the quality of the thing and the quality of the room will decide how well
that thing is expressed.
43.)  Qualities which are not oppositional to the quality of an environment, but
which are not similar enough to it to be expressed actually within that
environment, can exist potentially within that environment.   
44.)  Willpower and concentration are the two fundamental mind powers.
45.)  Flexibility and endurance are the two fundamental flesh powers.
46.)  Authority and equilibrium are the two fundamental soul powers.
47.)  How strongly a thing is influenced magically is a function of willpower and
concentration, except for when:
   A.)  That thing can only be influenced through circumstantial natural laws.
   B.)  That thing can only be influenced through spiritual authority.
   C.)  That thing can only be influenced indirectly through the authority of
another    being.
48.)  The ability of a person to appeal to a higher spiritual intelligence is a
function of the two soul powers.
49.)  The amount of magical power that can be expressed through a person is a
function of the two flesh powers.
50.)  The two soul powers can be expressed through the two mind powers, but
only so far as the mind understands.
51.)  The two mind powers can be expressed through the two flesh powers,
but only so far as its elasticity allows.
52.)  Elasticity is a function of flexibility and endurance.
53.)  The two soul powers can be expressed through the two flesh powers, but
only if they can shine perfectly through the spiritual bodies and the mind, and
only if the physical body is elastic enough.  This is a function of both
understanding and elasticity.
54.)  Authority is a function of equilibrium and evolution.
55.)  The power of an appeal to a superior intelligence is dependent upon
authority, and therefore upon the status of equilibrium and maturity, with the
exceptions of:
   A.)  Pacts made with superior intelligences who, by the terms of the pact, are
   required to perform the wishes of the person
   B.)  Beings of a superior intelligence which are assigned by their rulers to a
   particular person, with or without a pact.

C.)  Thirty­Four Principles of Evolution
1.)  Divinity has its actual representation to the finite mind as the personal
qualities of love, mercy, forgiveness, and right action, and purity of living.  
2.)  Divinity, being the quality of unity in the highest spiritual worlds, is the
apex of organization, and therefore equilibrium.
3.)  Devotion to the finite principles which represent objective divinity, which
are composed of both personal and nonpersonal qualities, organizes the
vehicles and attunes them towards the direction of the highest organization.  
4.)  As the vehicles become more thoroughly organized, travel in more fine and
necessarily more perfect spiritual worlds becomes possible.
5.)  The evolution of a being is defined by its immersion of divinity.
6.)  Righteous living and mental­spiritual devotion to divine concepts is a
universal system for spiritual evolution.  
7.)  Initially, principle 6 is not the necessary course of action for basic spiritual
evolution.
8.)  Ultimately, principle 6 must be engaged in before one can pass into higher
spiritual worlds.
9.)  The status of a spiritual world is defined by the level of its divine
organization, and therefore its calibration with and attunement to Deity.  
10.)  In consequence to principle B25, one necessarily becomes more
authoritative in all spheres as equilibrium is gradually achieved via attunement
to Deity.  
11.)  Any person with spiritual attunement to Deity can operate magic, but not
any person who can operate magic has spiritual attunement.
12.)  A person who can operate change through Deity affects the world from
the core to the periphery.
13.)  A person who can operate change through magic affects the world from
the periphery inwards, but not always to the core.  
14.)  The subject of principle 12 will not always have magical faculties, but will

always be able to work apparently magical and miraculous operations.
15.)  The subject of principle 13 will often have magical faculties, and will often
be able to work apparently magical and miraculous operations.
16.)  The subject of principle 12 will be able to rule by decree and operation.
17.)  The subject of principle 13 will be able to rule by operation, but not
decree.
18.)  To rule by decree is for one’s voice to be the very Living Word.  
19.)  One lifetime is not enough to complete one’s present evolutionary cycle.
20.)  One reincarnates in a given epoch until its evolutionary cycle is
conquered.
21.)  Reincarnation does not automatically end until complete unity with Deity
occurs, or until the soul is destroyed.
22.)  The length between incarnations is decided in some cases by the soul,
and in other    by overseers.
23.)  When one has achieved unity with the highest idea of Deity in the present
phase of evolution, he advances to the next phase of evolution, where the cycle
begins anew.  
24.)  An adept is an advanced human being who, while still in one evolutionary
phase, has advanced to a level suggestive of the next evolutionary phase.  
25.)  A soul must incarnate as both male and female every 20,000 years, being
one    complete astrological revolution.
26.)  Should a soul lose its equilibrium to such a degree that it is no longer
identifiably human, then it is relocated to the sphere which the soul is most
homogenous with.
27.)  A soul suffering from principle 26 will gradually regain consciousness of its
   equilibrium, and will then reincarnate again to continue its evolution.
28.)  Negative karma weighs the soul down and hampers evolution.
29.)  In consequence to 28, it is the goal of every soul to enter into its next
incarnation    with as little negative karma as possible.  The soul tends to carry
out this task in    the following ways:
   A.)  Through physical, mental and emotional suffering in a given life,
regardless    of the karma of that particular life.
   B.)  By aligning the destiny of that life in a way which allows one soul to make
   amends with another soul that it may have wronged either in that life or a
prior    life.
   C.)  By seeking and obtaining the forgiveness of sins.
   D.)  By self­abortion, most commonly presenting as a premeditated deadly
   accident.
30.)  The mind is not naturally composed in a manner which allows for
communication    with the soul, as this would subtract from the value of each
individual experience    in the life of that mind.
31.)  There is no other reason for the difficulty of remembering prior lifetimes
and the    attainment of soul­consciousness than principle 30.  
32.)  By training and conditioning the astral matrix can be strengthened to a
point which    allows for reopening communication between the mind and the
soul.
33.)  The cause of principle 30 is the destruction of every vessel except the
personal soul    at the end of each lifetime.
34.)  The evolutionary process throughout a particular lifetime will necessarily
bring the three aspects of body, mind and soul into closer proximity and greater
communication, resulting in the attainment of the magical memory as well as
various psychic faculties without particular training for those faculties.  

   This short tractate is only brief examination of some of the basic occult
principles which will inevitably infiltrate either the study or the practice of every
aspiring magician.  To learn them all consecutively would require years of study,
followed devotedly by years of practice.  They are scattered throughout all
magical exercises of every culture, throughout the religions of the world, and
throughout hundreds of books on occultism, metaphysics and theology.  Some
of them will undoubtedly make no sense to the reader, and these will not be
understood until further study has been accomplished.  Some of them the
reader will outright disagree with, and such misunderstandings will not be
clarified until one is ripe with practice in the appropriate area.  

   This is by no means a comprehensive examination of all of the occult
principles.  For our planet in our spiritual “solar system,” there are hundreds if
not nearly one thousand fundamental spiritual and natural laws.  This article is

presented because there are many new systems of thought emerging, most of
them highly speculative and only remotely practical.  Because the present wave
of intellectual development in the collective New Age movement is almost
entirely ignorant of proper training and conditioning, they quite commonly
present so­called rules and theories without any explanation or reason, and
most of all, without any experience.  As an online community, the readers of
this article will invariably be drawn, even if unknowingly, into the grips of some
of these modes of thought.  As this occurs, I have presented this short article
to be a point of reference that new ideas and apparently outlandish claims can
be checked against.  This does not mean that if you can not find validation for a
certain proposal in the principles enumerated herein that the proposal in
question is invalid.  However, if a proposed theory goes against one of the
principles herein enumerated, which are universal principles devoid of any
paradigmatic association, then one should be particularly skeptical of that
proposal until experience allows one to try it by fire for one’s self.  

   If one examines the enumerated principles deeply enough, he will find the
foundations of the following laws:

The Law of Analogy
The Law of Karma
The Law of Dynamic Reflection (i.e., “As above, so below”).
The Law of Microcosm
The Law of Manifestation
The Akasha Principle
The Law of Vibration
The Law of Gender
The Law of Unity
The Doctrine of Reincarnation
The Law of Economy
The Law of Polarity
The Law of Love, also called the Law of Evolution
The Law of Mentality

   There are many other laws which can be pieced together by the principles of
this tractate, but these fourteen are the most commonly known and easily
recognizable.  

   For the average student of magic, the mechanics of nearly every possible
operation can be drawn back to one of the principles given by this tractate.  I
have presented them in a simple numerical form as opposed to giving
elaboration to each individual principle.  The points are simple enough when left
to stand alone, and because there are so many implications for each principle,
and because each principle necessarily spawns several more, an in­depth
consideration of each one would have been a phenomenally lengthy endeavor. 
Instead I leave it to your own study and practice to reveal the inner dimensions
of each principle.

Beautiful, and very insightful.  Thanks for all the information, Prophecy.

So because a spiritual plane is higher than a mental plane, and a mental higher
than a physical, things logically proceed in manifestation in a downward cycle
OFFLINE
(as supposed by many different paradigms, including Hermetics and
Kabbalah).  This is why a cause in a higher (finer) sphere necessarily affects all
the others but a cause in a lower (denser) sphere does not necessarily affect
higher spheres?
