AUTOMATIC PAPER CUTTING USING GENEVA

MECHANISM

SYNOPSIS

The object of this project is to develop a Paper cutting machine to cutting the

paper. The operation of paper cutting machine is performed by using a D.C Motor; Paper

feed Mechanism. The paper is held at a paper tray, one end of which is passed through

two guide-rollers. The Cutter is used to cutting the number of paper transferred to the

collecting tray. The number of papers transferred to the collecting tray.

INTRODUCTION

The number of papers that are cutting by the geneva mechanism is fixed to the

frame stand. The paper cutting machine can be operated by using a permanent Magnet

D.C motor. The machine is useful to cutting papers very accurately. The advantage of the

machine is that it is portable and low cost machine.

Need For Automation

Automation can be achieved through computers, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics,

etc., of these sources for low cost automation. Automation plays an important role in

mass production.

Degrees of automation are of two types, viz.

Full automation.

Semi automation.

In semi automation a combination of manual effort and mechanical power is

required whereas in full automation human participation is very negligible.
