INTRODUCTION
An autonomous car (also known as a driverless car and a self-driving car) is
a vehicle that is capable of sensing its environment and navigating without human input.
Autonomous cars combine a variety of techniques to perceive their surroundings,
including radar, laser light, GPS, odometer, and computer vision. The objective of this essay is to
evaluate the importance, advantages and disadvantages of self-driving cars from human and
mechanical perspective. Autonomous cars has their own Advanced control
systems interpret sensory information to identify appropriate navigation paths, as well as obstacles
and relevant signage. Autonomous cars have many benefits such as minimizing an accident's death
toll and it also have disadvantages such as computer program that controls it will have to make
difficult moral decisions in extreme situations which can lead to an accident. Hence, this essay is
going view an autonomous car mechanical benefits and perception of future from human side.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, today’s cars are already advanced, with technology that would have
seemed unlikely even 10 years ago. A plethora of cameras and radars is fitted to monitor hazards
ahead and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) systems can apply the brakes in case of a
potential crash while lane departure technology can keep a motorist on track if they stray while
not paying attention. Moreover, the first real landmark on the autonomous roadmap will be in
2018, when cars will become a lot smarter with more advanced driver assistance systems,
including “hands-off driving” on motorways, as permitted by regulations. Nevertheless, from my
point of view the drivers will remain responsible, though, and will still be expected to take control
in case of unexpected circumstances or if the technology fails. They should be able to take their
hands off the wheel for around three minutes at a time, but after that the system will warn them to
place their hands back on the wheel. If this does not happen, then system should cut out and the
car should manually safely to a stop. The start of the next decade will see big changes with moves
to full autonomy. Researchers believe that by around 10 years from now, a car will be able to drive
itself fully from door to door without a driver needing to touch the wheel. Hence beyond 2025, it
is possible that we could see the first vehicle with no option for a driver to take control at all.
