● Also known as Spartanburg County Alternative school, all students were considered at-risk
● Counseled students, grades nine-twelve, on a variety of topics such as: suicidal ideations, career choices,
behavior/legal issues, academic concerns, and family issues; there were severe cases with students who
had not seen their parents because they abandoned them, or were in jail
● Wrote a letter to a judge on a student’s behalf due to improved behavior and academic achievement
● Created Individual Graduation Plans with students and explored options for college/career plans
● Mentored a student to help her make better choices so she could attain her goal of going to college
● Helped students utilize A+ program for credit recovery
