I. Objectives
After a 50-minute of discussion, the pupils are expected to:
a. define the degrees of comparison of adjectives:
b. identify the rules in degrees of comparison of adjectives;
c. use the degree of comparison of adjectives in the sentences; and
d. show cooperation in participating on the activities.

Target Skills: critical thinking, analyzing
Language Concept: Adjectives have three degrees of comparison—positive, comparative, and
superlative. The positive degree is the simplest form of adjectives. It is used to describe a person,
place, things, or group. The comparative degree of the –er form is used to compare two persons,
places, or things. The superlative degree or the –est form is used to compare three or more persons,
places, or things. Absolute adjectives cannot be compared because of their meanings.
