TIME: 50 minutes

AIMS:

 To clarify the possible uncertainties;


 To talk about food, restaurants and eating habits;
 To read the text for general idea;
 To read the text for specific information
 To translate/explain the unknown words from the text

STEP I: WARM-UP: Time: 2 minutes

Subsidiary aims: -to create a good and relaxed atmosphere

-to create willingness to participate to the new lesson

The teacher asks informal questions about the date, the missing students:

Q: What date is today?

Q: Who`s on duty?

Q: Who`s absent?
Q: How`s the weather like today?

Q: How are you today?

The students answer to the teacher`s questions.

STEP II: HOMEWORK CHECK-UP: Time: 2 minutes

Subsidiary aims: -to make the students check their homework

-to make the students become aware of their own mistakes

The teacher asks the students what they prepared for the day. The teacher asks the
students to read their homework aloud. The teacher checks the student`s homework from a
qualitative and quantitative point of view.

Q: What did you prepare for today?

Q: Was your homework difficult?

Q: Did all of you write your homework?

Q: Who wants to read?

The teacher checks the homework and their pronunciation.

STEP III: LEAD-IN: Time: 6 minutes

Subsidiary aims: -to introduce the students into the topic of the lesson

-to develop the students` ability of expressing their opinion

-to develop the students` capacity of remembering old information

The teacher gets into the topic by asking students what they have eaten today:

Q: What have you eaten for lunch?

Q: Have you had a healthy meal?

Q: Have you had a snack?

The teacher then asks students to open their books


STEP IV: SPEAKING-READING TASK: Time: 15 minutes

Subsidiary aims: -to improve the students` skill of reading

-to develop the students` ability to express their opinion

-to refresh Ss’ learned vocabulary and grammar

The teachers gives the students a text with the title Fashion through the Decades, where they
will read about fashion trends from the 1950s up till the 1990s. After they have read the text, in
pairs the students have to match the pictures with the corresponding decade say in which fashion
decade would have liked to be part of and which they wouldn’t.

The students match the pictures with their respective fashion decade and express their feelings
on which decade they would have liked to be in and in which not.

STEP V: LISTENING TASK: Time: 13 minutes

Subsidiary aims:-to improve students’ listening skill

-to improve students’ capacity to ender messages

The teacher will give students the worksheet Camden Fashion: Video UK

- the students they are going to watch a video about a great place to shop in Britain
- After the video they’ll have to complete the worksheet they’ve received.

The teacher plays the video: Camden Fashion: Video UK

Students pay attention to the video and after that they complete the worksheet.

STEP VII: ASSESMENT ACTIVITY: Time: 10 minutes

Subsidiary aim: -to reinforce the students` understanding of the structure

The teacher will divides the class into five teams:

- Each team will receive a Worksheet Pack your suitcase;


- Each team will have to decide how someone should dress for different trips
- Each team will present their choices.
- The other teams need to guess where the other team is going on a trip.

STEP VIII: ISSUING HOMEWORK: Time: 2 minutes

Subsidiary aims: -to improve the students` skills of writing


-to develop the students` skill of using the vocabulary on clothes and
accessories in expressing their written opinion.

The teacher gives students the worksheet Dear Anita, and write possible solution to those people.
