GOVERNMENT FEES AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 2019

The Minister of Finance, in exercise of the power conferred by section 2 of the

Government Fees Act 1965, makes the following Regulations:

Citation
1 These Regulations, which amend the Government Fees Regulations 1976 (“the
principal Regulations”), may be cited as the Government Fees Amendment Regulations
2019.

Amends Head 16
2 In Head 16 of the Schedule to the principal Regulations (Companies Act 1981)—
(a) in paragraph (32) (fee for filing a notice of discontinuance under section
132H(1)), delete $425” and substitute “Fee equivalent to annual fee as set
out in Part II of the Fifth Schedule to the Companies Act 1981”;
(b) after paragraph (40), insert—

“ (40A) Filing notice of amalgamation or Fee equivalent to

merger under section 104C annual fee as set
out in Part II of
the Fifth
Schedule to the
Companies Act
1981 for each
exempted
company
amalgamating or
merging ”.

Amends Head 22
3 In Head 22 of the Schedule to the principal Regulations (Dogs Act 2008), delete
paragraphs (1) to (7) and substitute—

“ (1) Issuing a dog licence under section 6—

(a) neutered male or spayed female dog $25 per year

(b) other dogs $135 per year

(c) service dog, if—
(i) certified by a recognised organisation as
trained to do work or perform tasks for a person
with a disability; and
(ii) actively engaged in such work or tasks
during the licensing period Nil
(2) Application for initial licence in accordance with
section 6, to bring about compliance with
section 5 $370
Licensing premises required to be licensed
(3)
under section 9 $330
Licensing premises of breeders as required
(4)
under section 10 $550
(5) Reclaiming a dog seized as a stray, and paying
for its care expenses, under section 20 $100 plus $30 per day
(6) Microchipping of a dog under section 26 $25 ”.

Amends Head 40
4 In Head 40 of the Schedule to the principal Regulations (Limited Liability Company
Act 2016)—
(a) in paragraph (7) (fee for filing a notice of amalgamation or merger of an LLC
and a foreign entity and continuance as foreign entity under section 89),
delete “$95” and substitute “$950”;
(b) after paragraph (9) insert—

“(9A) Discontinuance of exempted LLC to foreign $950

jurisdiction under section 97 ”.

Amends Head 61
5 In Head 61 of the Schedule to the principal Regulations (Public Lands Act 1984),
delete paragraphs (6) to (8) and substitute—

“ (6) Disposal per load of unprocessed horticultural waste

at Marsh Folly Dump by:
(a) light truck (L) $25
(b) intermediate/heavy truck (IN/HA) $50
(c) heavy truck (HB/HC) $75
(d) heavy truck (HX) $100
(e) tractor trailer dumpster (TT) $125
(7) Disposal per load of processed (chipped) horticultural
waste at Marsh Folly Dump by:
(a) light truck (L) $25

(b) intermediate/heavy truck (IN/HA) $50

(c) heavy truck (HB/HC) $75
(d) heavy truck (HX) $100
(e) tractor trailer dumpster (TT) $125
(8) Disposal per load of inert materials (construction
waste etc) white goods and metals at Airport Waste
Management Facility $30 ”.

Commencement
6 These Regulations come into operation on 1 April 2019.
