Topic Statement (full sentence): ​Our topic is on Homeless and we chose this topic because we see a lot of them
on the street in our City and we wanna make a change .

1. What is your prior knowledge about this topic? What is your prior knowledge about this topic?
The prior knowledge that we know about this topic is that we can’t do a lot to “get rid” of homeless people but
we can help to make the number of them go lower. We also know that there are government homeless
shelters for them, But them as homeless they don’t want to do anything with the government and want to be on
there own and and don’t want to follow anybody’s rules.

2. What problem(s) could you attempt to solve/address in connection with this topic?
The problems that we can attempt to solve in connection with the homeless is by involving ourselves in a
homeless shelter. Some of the things that we will be doing is welcoming newcomers, organize the clothes and
help people find which ones they need. Cook food or clean the kitchen or wash dishes.

3.How can you attempt to solve one of these problems at Poly or in the local community (not globally)? What
type of product do you anticipate completing (see ideas for final product). We will volunteer to do some hours
to help out a homeless shelter.

4.Explain how you might spend a minimum of 10 hours outside of the school day in the
community working toward this solution. The 10 hours will be broken down into 2-3 hours during
the week and weekend.

5. Explain how you might provide evidence of your work throughout the experience.
The evidence that we will be providing will be pictures and videos as we work our way up.

6.Explain any obstacles you might encounter in your attempt to address this problem.
One of the obstacles is perhaps not being eligible to perform a specific task that might not be able to
complete cause of our age or for other reasons.
