You’re not famous enough if you haven’t worn a Rajo
Laurel dress. This fashion designer, with his numerous
awards and recognition, has revolutionized the fashion
scene in the Philippines. As he continually reinvents his
self in the process of honing his craft, Rajo seems to be
unstoppable; surprising all of us in every dress he
creates and in every venture he takes. He is also notable
with galas and exhibitions abroad, that not only
establishes his name, but also our country’s name in the
international scene. Truly he is a world-class designer,
and he earns this fourth spot.
JOEL CRUZ

Talk about perfume and one name emerges among
them all. Joel Cruz can be dubbed as ‘the king of
perfumes’ here in the country. With his perfume line
that has spread like an irresistible fragrance across the
country, Joel has become a household name for scents.
Undeniably, Joel knows the business of scents more
than anyone in the Philippines. With his affordable but
high quality perfumes, he propelled his brand to the top,
while at the same time showing us what true
entrepreneurship is.
DANTON REMOTO

Danton is known as one of the best Filipino writers in
the country. He was able to bag major awards here and
abroad through his exemplary writing skills. But
what’s most notable about Danton presently is his
being chairman of the LGBT group “Ang Ladlad”. It
is his most important role in the society to date because
he has become the core and the leader of the
organization that pursues equality and fights for the
rights of gays, lesbians and bisexuals in the Philippines
– a role that redefines this society more than ever.
BB GANDANGHARI

BB is everywhere nowadays – TV, twitter and society
events. And you just can’t help but notice his
presence. BB has gone along way indeed and the
changes he took was enormous that we couldn’t dare
to remember who he ‘was’ for he has successfully
anchored who he ‘is’ today! And what’s most notable
is how audacious he is on reaffirming what he wants
and on how he wants to lead his life. Indeed BB is the
definition of liberty. It is all apparent on his style and
persona. He is indeed a person of influence that broke
all the barriers, sailed through the waves amidst the
naysayers and successfully attained liberation.
HEART DIÑO

Gabriel Paolo "Heart" Diño, a graduate student in
Applied Mathematics, was the first transgender head of
the student council at the University of the Philippines.
She served as the chairperson of the governing body in
2012.
RICA PARAS
(TRANSGENDER)
Rica Paras was the first transgender to enter the “Pinoy
Big Brother” house. According to the PBB website, it was
in college when Paras became involved with Doll House,
a movement supporting the third sex. The PBB website
said it was also during this period that “he became a she.”
TRIXIE MARISTELA
(TRANSGENDER)
Trixie Maristela won the crown for the Philippines in the
2015 Miss International Queen in Pattaya, Thailand. Prior to
the pageant, the Filipina transgender was crowned Miss Gay
Manila 2015. Even before winning the beauty competitions,
Maristela was already an advocate for the LGBT community.

FRITZIE RODRIGUEZ

At only 23, Fritzie has already won various awards for
journalism such as the EU Peace Journalism Awards and
the Save the Children Media Awards. A journalist for
Rappler, she pioneered the news site’s #GenderIssues
section and she covers issues about LGBT rights,
violence against women and children, gender equality,
and poverty and health under the #HungerProject
campaign. Currently, she’s part of the team covering the
#COP21 talks in Paris, France.

Arnell Ignacio, is a Filipino game show host, comedian,
actor, news anchor, and singer-songwriter. Arnell has
hosted several shows, like Chibugan Na!, Kwarta o
Kahon, Go Bingo, Katok mga Misis!, and K, The P1-
Million Videoke Challenge, and occasional hosts for Wil
Time Big Time. He also guest judged for Kakaibang
Idol, a special edition of Philippine Idol which was held
for contestants with the most notable auditions.
OGIE DIAZ

Ogie Díaz is a Filipino comedian, actor and show
business reporter. He is also popularly known as
"Pekto", the name of his character in the long-running
former television show Palibhasa Lalake. Currently he
became of being an assistant in many series. In 2016,
he became viral because he pranked by Vice Ganda
through a call in MOR 101.9 saying that his number
was found backside of the restroom's door.
