Abstracts/Specs:

A. Design a non traditional current full year bound calendar. Prepare several thumbnails and rough
sketches that designate color, text and other graphic elements. Make sure to identify major
holidays and events. Create a design that focuses on unity and cohesiveness throughout the
layout. Imposition and layout your calendar to print on a tabloid sized sheet. You may design
your calender for a saddle stitched booklet or a coil binding. Make sure to give 1/8 bleed
allowance and use full resolution photos. Pixel based images should be actual size in layout at
300 dpi and CMYK. Use of low quality images will be marked down. Flattened tif files are
recommended for file exports from Photoshop, and eps files are the recommended file format
from Illustrator. Turn in a 1 up file, an imposed pdf file with bleeds and marks, a printed sample, a
packaged InDesign file folder, and burn files to a CD.

Deliverables

• PDF File 1up on CD

• PDF impositioned for tabloid sized paper on CD
• Packaged InDesign Folder with all files on CD
