Happy to inform that I had organized a trip to Kailash for the past 4 years and it was very good. We
had a wonderful and safe journey........ Now, We can do it better. We even did the Parikrama (Both
Inner and Outer) and also Ashthapad

I am organizing the same Yatra again this year (2019).

Last day for con rmation is June 15th 2019

We have two public Holidays (Independence Day and Bakri-Id) in that two weeks.
Effectively you need to take less than 8 days leave from o ce.

and thus get the best deal from the agents.

The Yatra will be via Kathmandu only as we will be taking the Land Route to Kailash.

No Nepalgunj-Simikot-Hilsa Helicopter route for this year as that route is prone to weather.

The Land route via Kerung border has open up last year and hence, we will take the land route
which is scenic, safe and cheaper. Also it takes the same time as helicopter route and is safer and
NOT weather dependent..
We can explore the option of going through the Lhasa route too. (if a good number show interest)-

We will want to do the Inner Kora*, Visit Ashtapad and Outer Kora (Parikrama) and Visit the
Manasarovar Lake and some other places too in Tibet

Yatris via Kathmandu: Reach Kathmandu on August 8th 2019. We will leave on 10th August from
Kathmandu to Kailash and be back on 22nd August to Kathmandu.
Aug 8th: A direct ight from Bangalore to Kathmandu is available on this day

Effective start date for the entire group is calculated as 8th August 2019 for Agent's calculation

Details of the plan

There will be availability of Ponies. Hence one need not walk during the Parikrama. At max, one
may need to walk just over 2 to 2.5 Kms in the entire 12 Day Yatra. Hence, dont worry about walking

We will stay in the best of Hotels (4 Star Category ) at Darchen (The Base Camp of Kailash).

Also wi is available in almost all places in Tibet and Nepal.

Kailash can be done comfortably. You Need not be a Mary Com or Milind Soman or an athelete to
do Kailash

We will stay in the best of Hotels (3 Star at Kathmandu) and (4 Star Category) at Darchen (The Base
Camp of Kailash on triple occupancy). The best accomodation that is available during the
parikrama and lake manasarovar.
Elders over 70 years of age MAY do Half Kailash Parikrama on horse back (Subject to health
conditions). Sometimes, Chinese authorities dont allow elders over 70 to do the Kailash Parikrama
(Totally depends on the chinese policy at that moment)

Price of the Yatra - Indian Rs 140,000(Kailash Yatra Via Kerung Land Route)
Indian Rs 35,000 to 40,000 (Muktinath Yatra)
Non-Indian Passport Holders: Pay a small NRI Supplement of about 300 USD

Supplements: Mini 18 seater Flight over the Mount Everest and other 8000 m mountains can be
done and is fun at Indian Rs 7,500 Approx and is fun. This inc Hotel Pickup and drop (by bus) and
the mountain ight
