Clinical waste is one of the types of wastes that is categorized as hazardous waste. Examples of clinical waste include human or animal tissue, blood or other bodily fluids, excretions,
drugs or other pharmaceutical products, swabs or dressings, syringes, needles or other sharp instruments. Clinical wastes are normally collected at hospitals by clinical waste
contractors, transported to the contractors’ sites and incinerated as per regulations.
Imagine yourselves as a group of young Energy consultants. You would like to propose to a particular hospital management, a system that treats the clinical waste onsite, and
simultaneously generates a certain amount of electricity and/or heat for the hospital’s use. In your proposal, the following items (but not limited to these) should be included:
