1. Present Simple: DO/DOES


Negativ:
I/you/we/they + do not/don’t + V
He/she/it + does not/doesn’t + V
I don’t like pizza.
He doesn’t play football.
Interogativ:
Do + I/we/you/they + V?
Does + he/she/it + V?
Do you play football? Yes, I do./No, I don’t.
Does Ann run? Yes, she does. / No, she doesn’t.
2. Past Simple: DID
Negativ:
S + did not/didn’t + V
I didn’t like pizza.
He didn’t play football.
Interogativ:
Did + S + V?
Did you play football? Yes, I did./No, I didn’t.

BE – a fi
BE – toate timpurile continue – intotdeauna urmat de V-ing (Participiul Prezent) al verbului de conjugat:
1. Present Continuous:
S + am/is/are + V-ing
I am watching TV now.
2. Past Continuous:
S + was/were + V-ing
Sue was cooking when I phoned her.
3. Future Continuous:
S + will be + V-ing
She will be lying on the beach this time next summer.
La negativ se adauga negatia NOT dupa formele verbului TO BE (la Present Continuous si Past
Continuous), si dupa WILL la Future Continuous, astfel:
1. Present Continuous:
am not/’m not
S + is not/isn’t + V-ing
are not/aren’t
I am not/I’m not reading the newspaper now.
Susan is not watching/isn’t watching TV right now.
2. Past Continuous:
S + was not/wasn’t + V-ing
were not/weren’t
William was not/wasn’t cooking when we came.
They weren’t playing football last night at 8.
3. Future Continuous:
S + will not/won’t + be + V-ing
Andrea will not/won’t be sitting on the beach this time tomorrow.
La interogativ se schimba pozitia intre subiect si auxiliarul TO BE (la Present Continuous si Past
Continuous), si intre subiect si WILL (la Future Continuous), astfel:
1. Present Continuous:
Am/Is/Are + S + V-ing?
Are you watching TV right now?
Yes, I am./No, I’m not.
2. Past Continuous:
Was/Were + S + V-ing?
Was Mary cooking when you called her?
Yes, she was./No, she wasn’t.
3. Future Continuous:
Will + S + be + V-ing?
Will Jane be lying on the beach this time next week?
Yes, she will./No, she won’t.

HAVE – a avea
HAVE este auxiliarul timpurilor perfecte, este intotdeauna urmat de Ved/V3 (Participiul Trecut):
1. Present Perfect Simple:

I/you/we/they + have + Ved/V3


He/She/It + has + Ved/V3
I have read that book before.
Jane has just finished her chemistry project.
2. Past Perfect Simple:
S + had + V-ed/V3
They had finished their paper by the time we arrived.
3. Future Perfect Simple:
S + will have + V-ed/V3
Tim will have finished the project by now.
La negativ se adauga negatia NOT dupa formele verbului TO HAVE (la Present Perfect Simple si Past
Perfect Simple), si dupa WILL la Future Perfect Simple, astfel:
1. Present Perfect Simple:

I/you/we/they + have not/haven’t + Ved/V3


He/She/It + has not/hasn’t + V-ed/V3
I have not/haven’t read that book before.
Jane has not/hasn’t finished her chemistry project.
2. Past Perfect Simple:
S + had not/hadn’t + V-ed/V3
They had not/hadn’t finished their paper by the time we arrived.
3. Future Perfect Simple:
S + will not/won’t have + V-ed/V3
Tim will not/won’t have finished the project by now.

2. Past Perfect Simple:
Had + S + Ved/V3?
Had Jane finished the project yet?
Yes, she had./No, she hadn’t.

3. Future Perfect Simple:


Will + S + have + Ved/V3?
Will Jane have been to Paris lately?
Yes, she will./No, she won’t.

HAVE si BE se folosesc pentru timpurile Perfect Continue, astfel:


1. Present Perfect Continuous:

I/you/we/they + have been + V-ing


He/She/It + has been + V-ing
I have been reading that book all week.
Jane has been working on the project for a month.
2. Past Perfect Continuous:
S + had been + V-ing
They had been working on that project for a year before they finished it.
3. Future Perfect Continuous:
S + will have been + V-ing
Tim will have been reading his paper for a while by now.

La negativ se adauga negatia NOT dupa formele verbului TO HAVE (la Present Perfect Continuous si Past
Perfect Continuous), si dupa WILL la Future Perfect Continuous, astfel:
1. Present Perfect Continuous:

2. Past Perfect Continuous:

They had not/hadn’t been working on the paper all day yesterday.
3. Future Perfect Continuous:
S + will not/won’t have + been + V-ing
Tim will not/won’t have been reading his paper for a while by now.

WILL + V – se foloseste pentru a forma timpurile viitorului, astfel:


1. Future Simple:
S+ will/ ‘ll + V
Jane will be at home tomorrow evening.
2. Future Continuous:
S + will be + V-ing
She will be lying on the beach this time next summer.
3. Future Perfect Simple:
S + will have + V-ed/V3
Tim will have finished the project by now.
4. Future Perfect Continuous:
S + will have been + V-ing
Tim will have been reading his paper for a while by now.
