TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Thank you for considering me for a position in your district. Ever since I started teaching, I have been passionate
in my commitment to three things: creating an environment that maximizes student performance, inspiring
students to learn in the best way that they know how and to instill a sense of self-worth among all students. I
have dedicated my career to each of these pursuits, as my enclosed resume will demonstrate.

I have been a part of the fine arts program for about five years now and I am very passionate about it. It would
be an honor to teach your students and serve a district that maintains high educational standards and provides
students with opportunities for personal growth.

My qualifications include several years of elementary teaching experience, which includes experience in all
grade levels from Preschool to 4th grade. I also hold a BA degrees in elementary education, EC-4 Generalist
certification, 21st Century Learners Certification, ESL and Fine Arts Certification.

In my last fine arts position as an Art teacher for Crowley Independent School District, I have had the pleasure
of working to develop a program that meets the needs for every student. I developed and taught 6th, 7th and 8th
grade curriculum as well as mentored to develop choice-based art and project-based learning in the classroom
and other school districts. I provided effective classroom management, creative lesson plans, detailed student
evaluations and highly praised instructional delivery. I have also been involved in programs such as National
Junior Art Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, Student Council, 7th Grade team leader, yearbook and
led the team that took students on a field trip to expose students to the Fine Arts in New York City. I have also
served on the Program of Choice committee that developed and implemented a new Creative Arts Academy
that focuses on students’ passions for careers in the arts. My most recent endeavor, was speaking at the annual
Texas Art Education Association, and training other teachers in the method of choice-based art. I was able to
invite teachers from around Texas, into my room to see firsthand how to maintain a successful, and meaningful
art experience for the student body.

I am eager to resume my fine arts teaching career and would be delighted to interview for this opportunity.
Please feel free to contact me at 817-357-5633 or email crowleyartteacher@gmail.com to set up a meeting.

Thank you for your interest and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Burlingham, Jennifer
