•  As an Internet Investigation Specialist, you will be able to investigate


Web attacks, Emails, Crypto-currencies, Internet browsers &
artifacts, Google services and Social Media platforms.

Platform which can be accessed on your smartphone and computer.

Certification
Awarded by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Course credits
This is a 3 credit course and students are expected to finish it in 45 hours.

Assessments
Online tests totaling 100 marks. Score at least 70% to pass.

Course syllabus

1. Web Investigation
This section covers the investigation of DNS records, IP
addresses, and Servers (Database, DHCP, Email, FTP, Web).

2. Email Investigation
This section covers email tracking and tracing, and investigation
of Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, and Outlook.

3. Crypto-currencies Investigation
Criminals increasingly abuse cryptocurrencies to fund criminal activities.
Cryptocurrency users and facilitators have also become victims of
cybercrimes themselves. This section covers bitcoin & blockchain
technology and bitcoin investigation.

4. Browser Investigation
This section covers the investigation of Browser & Internet artifacts
(bookmarks, cached data, cookies, favorites, browser extensions, history,
stored passwords) in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari.

5. Google Investigation
This section covers the investigation of various Google services -
Bookmarks, Calendar, Cloud Print, Dashboard, Drive, Groups, History, Keep,
Location reporting & history, Maps, Sites, and YouTube.

6. Social Media Investigation


This section covers the investigation of popular social media platforms -
Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, WeChat, and
Tumblr.

Asian School of Cyber Laws

1.  We have assisted the Government of India in framing draft rules


and regulations under the Information Technology Act.

2.  Law enforcement personnel in India and abroad extensively use


our Cyber Crime Investigation Manual. This was one of the first of
its kind manuals in the world. Times of India (the world's largest
selling English newspaper) has referred to it as a bible for Cyber
Crime Investigators.

3.  We have assisted the Controller of Certifying Authorities in


drafting regulations relating to the recognition of foreign
certifying authorities.

4.  A public interest litigation filed by our students led to the


appointment of Adjudicating Officers to decide the fate of cyber
crime cases.

police and the Central Bureau of Investigation in matters relating
to cyber investigation.

6.  We were part of the Organizing Committee for the World


Congress on Informatics and Law at Spain (2002), Cuba (2003)
and Peru (2004).

7.  ASCL Computer Crime & Abuse Report(India) is the only study of
its kind quoted by the United Nations in its E-commerce &
Development Report (2003).

8.  We conducted the c4 - Conference on Cyber Crime Control, 2015


co-organized by Home Dept, Govt. of Maharashtra, Mumbai
Police, IIT Bombay.

9.  We maintain the Global Cyber Law Database, an online repository


of cyber related laws of major countries around the globe.

10.  We developed the world's smallest cyber crime investigation


device code-named pCHIP.

11.  Thousands of students have benefitted from our free online


programs in cyberlaw, intellectual property law and Data Privacy
Law in India.

12.  We have provided academic support to the National Consultation


meeting on Enforcement of Cyber Law organized by National
Project Committee on Enforcement of Cyber Law (Supreme Court
