the Bahamian creative community all those years ago in the 1970s
when we formed Doongalik Studios. Jackson predicted that by the
year 2020 more visitors will come to The Bahamas for our art, culture
and heritage, rather than merely for our sun, sand and sea, and we
have been working for decades to ensure that this is indeed the
case. Not only has it been our pivotal focus, but it has also been our
driving force - it has been our vision and our purpose, a goal and a
process, a road and a destination that is fast approaching. All roads
have been leading to this point and we are elated because we have

BEFORE THE TS TOUR WEEKEND—The public is invited to

Lewis Street, off East Street, on SATURDAY, MARCH 30th from
11am—1pm for the OFFICIAL UNVEILING OF THE “DREAM
WALL OF RESPECT” MURAL PROJECT. This project started Sep-
tember 2018 in collaboration with the Lend A Hand Bahamas Com-
munity organization located at the Neville and Nora Dorsett Com-
munity Center. Spearheaded by Antonius Roberts, the murals were
produced to literally transform the space and sustain the community
through art by an amazing group of talented Bahamian fine artists
and will be a part of this year‟s TS Tour! The unveiling of a plaque
commemorating the home where the Reverend Dr Martin Luther
King stayed in November 1953 will also take place. The One Family
Junkanoo and Community Organization will be in attendance for the

this year‟s Conference in Fabriano, Italy, one of our
UNESCO Craft and Folk Art Cluster cities which pro-
duces world famous paper! The City of Nassau will be
