Back ground of the Project

India Health Action Trust (IHAT) aims at improving public health initiatives by supporting
programs nationally and globally through providing comprehensive technical assistance in
program planning, management and monitoring. IHAT has set up a Technical Support Unit (TSU)
for the Government of Uttar Pradesh to provide techno-managerial assistance to improve the
coverage of key reproductive, maternal, newborn, child health and nutrition (RMNCHA+)
interventions and services in the state from the funding support of Bill & Melinda Gate
Foundation (BMGF) through University of Manitoba (UOM), Canada.

The Associate – Monitoring & Evaluation will Support in Designing and implementing Quality
data collection, Developing ODK data collection app, Assimilating, Organizing and analyzing NRC
and Program monitoring data, Feedbacks, Providing handholding support to government in
streamlining their data system

Technical Support Unit, Uttar Pradesh invite application for the following positions from
competent and committed development professionals who are seeking meaningful and
challenging assignments in- Uttar Pradesh.
Position: Associate – Monitoring & Evaluation, Nutrition

Location: Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

Reporting: Project Director, Nutrition

Project: Nutrition

Key Responsibilities:

Operational

 Designing Monitoring framework and logic model


 Orienting program team on framework
 Develop list of indicators for the program monitoring
 Design tools and formats for data collection of parameters for the program
 Conduct training of field team on tools and formats
 Ensuring quality data collection
 Developing ODK data collection app while closely working with ICT team
 Data base management of the program data
 Design and implement Programme Monitoring (TSU-PM) dashboard
 Capacity building of Programme team for analysing and using data for effective decision
making
 Support in Surveys and Studies planned under nutrition
 Analyse Programme monitoring data and sharing with the state and district team
 Analyse CBTS data for programme planning as and when required
 Regular and timely feedback to field team on programme data
 Develop and implement a Dashboard for programme team for reviewing programme data

Required Competencies:

Candidates with Behavioral Competencies like - Effective Communication, Functional capability,


Assimilating and Managing Knowledge, Collaborating for success and Commitment to Learning
will be considered

Candidates with Technical Competencies like - Data Management and analysis (STATA/SPSS and
Excel packages), Survey tool development and implementation skills and Documentation and
Presentation skills.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

 Masters in Statistics / Demography/ Economics/ Mathematics/Geography/Management


degree/Public health and other social sciences
 Preferred MPhil or pursuing PhD
 Experience of working in monitoring and evaluation- survey, program monitoring,
analysis
 Candidates with Mphil /PhD/3+ years(MLE) of relevant experience may be considered
for Senior Associate
