Abstract

This paper explores the types of footbridges and on how to build a footbridge. The types of

footbridges are Simple Suspension Bridges, Steeping-stone Bridges, Moon Bridges, Arch

Bridges, and Skyways. The structures are built very carefully. In building a footbridge, the

designer has to take into account acceleration, vibration, and math. They should also know what

material is best suited and how they are going to build the structure. The designer should also

think about classes like traffic and comfort. There are advantages and disadvantages in building a

footbridge. An disadvantage of a footbridge is when there is road traffic and pedestrians cannot

use the road, which gets crowded. An advantage is that footbridges help reduce pedestrians and

car collisions. Footbridges are important because workers need them for work and to help people

get places.
