Abstract

Each person has a different and unique personality. However, there are commonalities that

people share. One-way people can test their personality is the Real Colors Personality Test. Real

Colors® is a model for understanding oneself and others based on one’s personality

temperament. By separating people into different groups, one can learn more about themselves,

others, and how to communicate with those around them.

The four colors one could be placed in are Orange, Gold, Green, and Blue. Those with Orange

color personality strengths tend to be outgoing, bold, spontaneous, confident and very adaptable.

Those who receive Gold typically are dependable, thorough, organized, sensible, and caring.

They also tend to have a strong sense of what is right and wrong. Greens are usually analytical,

cool, calm, logical, perfectionistic, and conceptual. Those who are Blue strengths include

communication, compassion, imagination, and caretaking. Blues love to talk, and they like to

take time to listen.

Understanding one’s personality traits and those one is close to and works with is important

because it can help understand others better, identify likes and dislikes, and understand one’s

own strengths and weaknesses. Figuring out which color one belongs to, and being able to notice

how and when it affects one’s life is an extremely helpful trait.
