Worsted weight yarn in various shades. This sweater was knit with mostly cotton
in shades of cream, greens, and peaches.
It's important you understand intarsia knitting before beginning this pattern. T
here is no set way to knit each row. Feel free to improvise as you knit. Knit wi
th lengths of yarn about 3 to 12 feet. Generally, three different colors are use
d in every row. For row 1, knit 22 stitches with the first color, 22 stitches wi
th the second and the remaining stitches with the third color. On each subsequen
t row, knit one to four additional or fewer stitches with each color. Continue i
n this manner until the yarn has run out. Change to a color that is different th
an the one you just used, trying to keep the three main color schemes fairly eve
n spaced throughout the sweater.
