ABSTRACT

The study focused on the factors that motivate learners to join educational tours.

Specifically, it sought answers to the factors that motivates learners to join educational

tours and common problems encountered by learners. A total of six (6) learners from three

different strands of senior high school are the respondents where in the two (2) of them are

from Accountancy Business and Management, two (2) from Information in

Communication and Technology and two (2) from Home Economics learners. This study

uses a qualitative types of research to gather, identity, classify and interpret significant

data.

The findings revealed that the factors that motivate learners to join educational

tours are their friends, additional grades, itineraries, price of the tour, projects, and

learnings that will be gained. However, there are learners that are not affected by any of

these factors like those who joined because they just want to. Moreover, the common

problems encountered by learners during educational tours are traffic, irresponsible and

unapproachable staffs, uninteresting itineraries and long trips.
