Graduation Message
My warmest greetings and congratulations to the foremost champions of this momentous occasion—
the completers and graduates of School Year 2018-2019!
Graduation and moving-up ceremonies are indeed a joyous celebration, and not only because it
culminates another year of learning and discovery, perseverance, and passionate work among our
learners. It also caps off another year of successful collaboration among parents, teachers, education
officials and personnel, community members, partners, and stakeholders of diverse roots, cultures, and
traditions.
This year’s theme, “Unity in Diversity: Quality Education for All,” speaks of our commitment and loyalty
to our culture—diverse as it is—that reflects our soul and unites our people. Time and again, we have
proven that regardless of our descent, status, ethnicity, and religious and political beliefs, we can unite
towards the realization of a common goal—the delivery of quality, accessible, relevant, and liberating
basic education for the Filipino learners.
While the Department of Education (DepEd) has carried on and embraced change amid technological
advancements and the continuously shifting socio-economic landscape, it commits itself to the holistic
development of 21st century learners who are not only critical and innovative thinkers in the fields of
science, mathematics, and robotics, but who are also artistic and creative, and can thrive in the fields
that appeal to our soul and our sense of identity.
Rest assured that through the K to 12 Basic Education Program, DepEd shall strive to hone our future
leaders and nation-builders in a society that embraces diversity and all its challenges and advantages. I
am positive that whatever path they wish to pursue hereafter, our graduates and completers will
continuously enrich what makes up the Filipino soul—our culture, talent, history, and capacity to
survive.
Graduation Message
It is with deep gladness that I extend my sincere greetings and salutations to all the completers and
graduates of School year 2018-2019! Indeed, you are the center of this triumphant celebration.
Every single completer and graduate has a story worth rejoicing as they stand victorious in this
ceremony. This is also a moment of pride and joy to the families, friends and people who have been a
part of their academic journey. This is a milestone that our learners have achieved in their young lives
and it opens the door to the new opportunities for learning and meaningful experiences. Now, they are
about to step and choose a road that may determine the direction of the rest of their lives.
Before our learners enter a new and more challenging phase of their education, they have spent years
being honed by our schools through the provision of quality, relevant and liberating education. This
year’s theme, “Unity in Diversity: Quality Education for All”, magnifies the reality that our country
thrives amidst diversity by recognizing every student’s right to learn and gain knowledge no matter what
status they have, race they belong or principles they adhere to.
Inside the walls of our educational institutions, each learner is given the chance to explore his
capabilities in order to reach his fullest potentials. DepEd’s K-12 curriculum ensures that different
talents and skills will have an avenue to be shaped and practiced as well as ideas will have enough
support to be developed into new innovations and discoveries. As the world changes, so does our
educational system in order to respond to the different needs and inclinations of our 21st Century
learners.
Our Society needs more innovators for development and catalysts of change and I believed that our
completers and graduates will be able to rise up to this challenge. Equipped by lasting learning and rich
experiences, there is no other way for these young and brave souls but continuous advancement
towards the realization of their goals and aspirations in life. Along with God’s grace and guidance, a
determined mind and a humble spirit, they can truly succeed and contribute meaningfully to make this
world a better place.
Again, congratulations to our completers and graduates. Enjoy the new experiences and God be with
you always.
Graduation Message
My warmest congratulations to the graduates and completers of School Year 2018-2019! You all deserve
our applause and praise for a job well done. I hope that you express sincerest gratitude to your parents,
guardians and teachers, whose love and sacrifices enabled you to achieve your dreams.
As the graduate and completer, enjoy the fruits of your labor are made of and what you can do for your
country. Go and explore, continue your education and gain more knowledge to uplift your economic
status and to be good citizens of our country. Also protect the freedom we are enjoying today and
remember, this freedom is the result of the distinct actions of the youth and leaders of the past. On this
note, please always remember that the Senate of the Philippines is one of the institutions that
contributed much to democracy we are enjoying today. As the vanguard of democracy, under my
leadership, we commit to you, young graduates and completers, teachers and parents that we, in the
Senate, will safeguard the reforms we have painstakingly put in place.
Show your patriotism to your country and do not let the hurdles of our present circumstances dictate
the outcome of our future. Uphold the core values of excellence and service. Strive to make a difference
and live your life with honor and dignity.
Dear Graduates,
It is with gladness that I greet this year's graduates on the occasion of their graduation for this school
year 2018-2019. This year's Theme: Unity in Diversity! Quality Education For All highlights the role of K
to 12 basic education program in developing an educated society where the challenge and benefits of
diversity are embraced and welcomed by every Filipino. It likewise envisions the kind and quality of
Philippine society that every Filipino aspires to have in the foreseeable future. Graduation Rites and
Ceremonies are joyous occasions replete with fond memories and hopeful prospects. Yet, graduation is
not the end it is just a beginning of a more challenging and complex struggle as the child pursues his
dream of obtaining quality of basic education he endeavors to continue his life's journey. To the parents,
teachers and education stakeholders, my warm congratulations. To the graduates, Good luck and God
Speed. Congratulations!
