METHOD STATEMENT

1. All work will be undertaken by qualified competent persons with


experience of the type of work described above, and in all cases in full
accordance with safety procedures specified.

2. It is the responsibility of the supervisor to ensure prior to giving any


personnel the job, that they are fully aware of the hazards involved
and are competent to carry out the work safely.

Responsibilities 3. The supervisor must ensure that this procedure is fully complied with.

4. The Site Manager has an ultimate responsibility of compliance of work


to, relevant methodologies, standards, specifications listed, while
assuring adequate organization resources.

5. HSE Supervisor– shall be responsible to implement HSE Plan.

6. QA/QC Inspector – responsible for the Inspection Request (IR)


preparation, 100% inspection activities and ensure compliance with
quality requirements and specifications.

7. Supervisors – ensure that all related works are carried out in


accordance with approved released for construction drawings,
specifications, schedule, quality and safety. Reports to Site Manager

8. Fabricators– will do all the fabrication work as per approved


drawings and standards

9. Helpers- These are to assist the technicians for the technical Works,
cleaning etc.

10. Welders- the qualified welders will give production joints as per
approved welding procedure specification.

11. Ensure that Hoisting and Rigging accessories are free from damage.

12. Surveyors report is required for the setting out, center line etc.

1. The fabrication, welding, sandblasting and painting works shall be


conducted off site.

2. The fabricated scats conveyor shall be transported to the AAIL site by


means of a flat bed.

3. All cutting and welding operations performed must be carried out in


accordance with standards set forth by the American Welding Society
Cutting and and the appropriate American National Standard institute standard
Welding concerning cutting and welding.
Procedures
4. Designated areas shall be set aside for cutting and welding purposes and
shall be barricaded.

5. Measure length of steel member required, making due all allowance for
any welds thickness. Cut the steel member to the measured length and
ensure that the ends are cut to the required angle.

6. Refer to the Standard Operating Procedures for fire precautions and


prevention during hot works.

7. Consider weather conditions in discussions with the PTW Authority.


Agree if the works can be undertaken.

8. Sign in and acquire Permits from Project Staff.


Sequence of
Work 9. Carry out Toolbox Talk with all Operatives involved in the task, then all
to sign TBT sheet.

10. Arrange all tools, materials and equipment orderly near to the work
area.

11. Carry out plant checks and associated paperwork, record the data on the
daily plant check sheets if not completed already.

12. Supervisors to assess/review workers have full PPE in procession and its
fit for purpose.

13. Supervisor to review work area (including scaffolding) to ensure it is safe


to commence work and to check all safety/demarcation barriers are
erected.
14. Prepare the steel members as per approved drawings and standards.

15. Start to fit-up process as per approved welding procedure specifications


by qualified fabricators, fitters and welders.

16. Monitor all welding and related works by approved supervisors and QC
inspector
