FROM FATHER RICH
In Vienna in Austria there is a church in which the former ruling family in Austria, the Hapsburgs, are buried.
When royal funerals arrived outside the church, the mourners knocked at the door of the church requesting to be
allowed in. A priest inside would ask ‘Who is it that desires admission here?’ A guard would call out, ‘His apostolic
majesty, the emperor’. The priest would answer, ‘I don’t know him.’ They would knock a second time, and again the
priest would ask who it was. The funeral guard outside would announce, ‘The highest emperor.’ A second time the
priest would say, ‘I don’t know him.’ A third time they would knock on the door and the priest would ask ‘Who is it?’
The third time the answer would be, ‘A poor sinner, your brother.’
This story and the readings last and this weekend remind us that humility is the key to successful life on earth
and the key to happiness in heaven.
I want to thank our Ministers of Care for organizing the Mass of Anointing last Sunday. I want to thank those
who brought the sick to our church and all caregivers for their love and service for others. We had about 120 peo-
ple participating in this Mass. We want to ask you to let us know about all the sick in our parish so that we can serve
by visiting them, bringing Holy Communion or giving them Anointing of the Sick.
I want to share with you the last Annual Catholic Appeal report and the final carnival report. This is the last
Annual Catholic Appeal report dated October 20 , 2010.

Last week we received the first rebate check in the amount of $16,417.08. Additional rebate checks will be
mailed to us when all parishioners will fulfill their pledges. We thank again those who already completed their
pledges and those who will do it soon. The rebate money was deposited into our parish renovation account.
I thank God again and all the people who worked hard at the carnival this year and those who joined us. It
was the best reward for hard work to see so many people together having good time. With joy and pride I want
to present to you the carnival results submitted by the carnival committee last week . I want to acknowledge
and thank all the members of the carnival committee for their efforts: Kim Beilfus - Chairperson, Maureen
Hernandez - Silent Auction, Brenda Klamerus – Silent Auction, Maryann Lanka – Pot of Gold, Andy Creger

The whole net profit from our carnival this year was $60,061.58 and exceeded the last year’s profit by
$20,061.58.
We invite all of you and especially the families of those who have died last year for the Memorial Mass which
will be celebrated on Sunday, November 7th at 3:00 pm in our Church. During the prayers of the faithful all the
names of the deceased will be read and the families will come forward to receive a candle. After the Mass you
are invited to Rogers Hall for little reception sponsored by Lawn Funeral Home where we will have opportunity
to share our memories about the ones who have left us.
We remind you again about our Parish Mission, which will be combined with the Feast of St. Albert the
Great and the 61st Parish Anniversary. At that time we will also celebrate the success of the
Annual Catholic Appeal and our parish carnival. I’m looking forward to that moment when I’ll
be able to thank you personally for your support and generosity to our parish. We will begin
our Parish Mission on the weekend of 13th and 14th of November. Fr. Tom McCarthy will
preach at all the Masses and he will invite everyone for the continuation of the Mission on
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in church. After each Mass that weekend we
will have a little reception in Rogers Hall. Please invite all your relatives and friends for this
Fr. Tom McCarthy spiritual renewal and for the celebration of thanksgiving.

Thank You, God Bless You all! Fr. Rich

OD KS. RYSZARDA
przed Jezusem swoje serce. Dzisiaj Boże zbawienie przychodzi do nas, aby odnowić nasze życie: by
udoskonalić w nas wszelkie pragnienie dobra, ożywić w nas Bożego ducha i utwierdzić nas w Bożej
Katolickiej i z naszego karnawału. Oto raport z Kwesty Katolickiej z dnia 20-go października.

7-go listopada o godzinie 3:00 po południu.
W dniach od 13-go do 17-go listopada odbędą się w naszym kościele rekolekcje w języku angielskim.

osiągnięciu nieba i wyrazem naszej pamięci i miłości.
Dzień Wszystkich Świętych, 1-go listopada - Msze Św. 12:00:00 pm i 7:00 pm
Dzień Zaduszny 2 listopada - Msze Św. 12:00 pm i 7:00 pm
